I don't know who douglas (dubhghlas? i like that spelling better) is but i wanna know more about him!

[Dubhghlas] is my fAVORITE BOY
He is, big dumbass, big dumbass boy and also happens to be how i first became friends with my partner that i now live wiTH so that’s pretty neat! !!! !!
His name is Dubhghlas, which is, like you guess, pretty close to Douglas. I call him “Dubh” a lot while talking about him, but actually sort of prefer people not call him that unless we’re like... close friends.... Dubhghlas is kinda hard to spell, I know, but I do prefer people use that if possible!
anyway im gonna yell so its UNDER THE CUT:
(note: i just finished and i’m gonna be SO REAL WITH YOU, this barely scratches the surface of my four years of working with this dragon and that’s kind of terrifying)

Alright I’m gonna be real here I don’t know quite where to start there’s… theres so much
Dubhghlas is a mirror in the main branch of my clan, SedAhrkMen (13) in plague!He’s been there a long while, after arriving one day and being an absolute ShitHead for a while. He starts a lot of fights…..
He was ostracized (and also self-isolated a fair bit) so he turned nocturnal, which honestly suited him since he’s originally from Shadow and sees EXCEPTIONALLY well in the dark. One of the older dragons in the clan (Dave) sort of…. adopted? him??? and also switched to being up at night to be a Shitty Mom to him, and they ended up making the Nocturnals, which is the Night Guard for the clan.
The original night guard was him, Dave, and two other dragons, but they’re both dead now.
Dubhghlas uh… unfortunately seems to be followed by death? Death of loved ones??As Follows:

AnyWAY im just fucking rambling so here’s a timeline of his life for you
Dubhghlas is born, his parents did not plan for Twins.
Dubhghlas spends his youth with his brother, who loves him dearly. He is taught his mother’s profession, as he is intended to replace her.
His brother Brandubh saves him from falling over a cliff into certain death. He falls as a result, and dies instead.
Dubhghlas is blamed for his brother’s death, and after some time living in that environment, he leaves his home and takes his Childhood Best Friend and Girlfriend with him.
The two wander Sornieth, meet Cino and later on Sivtic, two dragons with whom they also fall in love, and the four travel together happily for a long while.
While passing through Plague on their way to Earth, in order to settle down and begin building a family, the group is attacked by a group of powerful Ice dragons.
Unable to defend his family, all three are killed for sport, and Dubhghlas alone remains, severely injured.
He spends three days crawling through the wastes of Plague before coming across a clan which takes him inside and gives him medical aid.
It is worth noting that Dubhghlas is extremely resilient, and has survived many many many things that should, by anyone’s standards, have killed him.
Dubhghlas is left with many scars, and an incredibly fucked up leg that can longer support his weight. He spends the next dozen cycles just picking these open repeatedly.

After working off his medical debt and the cost of his brace, he leaves the clan and continues through Plague, eventually arriving in SedAhrkMen and settling there.
He is grouchy and angry at everything, and starts lots of fights. Eventually he is outcast and despised by almost everyone.
He moves to the edge of the clan lands and begins to dig for fun. Eventually it becomes an entire Quarry.
He becomes a Night Guard, and although he remains incredibly angry and unpersonable, does manage to make friends with the other Shadow Dragons that form the night guard with him.
His only two friends both die.
Dave adopts a young orphaned hatchling, Caphyae, and the Nocturnals continue.
It is a good while later when a thief begins stealing things from his Quarry, and is delighted to learn that no one seems to be trying to stop him.
Dubhghlas now has a Sworn Enemy, and spends much time chasing him around and attempting to stop his reign of terror in his Quarry.
The coatl, [Digger], thought his angry antics were honestly kind of funny. It wasn’t until Digger’s ex-wife got involved in making sure he wasn’t causing too much trouble that the two were forced into some sort of truce.

The two were both? Very damaged in complimentary ways, and helped each other a lot.
After enough time dating, Dubhghlas proposed and the two got married.

Over the time that they were dating Dubhghlas spent a fair bit of time in Digger;s home clan, The Ventusians (fr user Galaxial’s clan, tumblr user @actualmanedrasa wink) and actually made some friends there.
The Ventusians in Wind are like a second home to him, and actually like him as opposed to his home clan in Plague. He’s essentially got dual citizenship between the clans, and even acts as a Night Guard there when he’s in Wind.
Fun note: He’s got a strong fear of ever being a parent despite it being one of the things he was most excited for when he was younger. IN SPITE OF THIS, he’s an unofficial dad to multiple dragons, primarily [Creptaire].
He’s had a lot of Adventures since meeting Digger, and it’s really hard to put them in a time line, but theres.. a LOT he’s done and met and that’s happened to him over the cycles.

BUT TLDR;
Dubhghlas is the dragon that brought me together with my partner, and who has an extensive history and fully fleshed out life from pretty much birth to current. He’s a angry bisexual who’s covered in dirt, falls in love with all of his friends, and craves intimacy wherever he can get it.

His favorite was always BLUE because that;s his color but then so was GREEN! and PURPLE! Because purple was all around him, and green was his brother’s color.
He still really likes those colors, but his new favorite is Orange. But the really special orange that Digger’s eyes are. They fill him with happiness without fair just to see, so the color is hard wired in as his “favorite” now.
