“Dubz-“
He shushed her, holding her impossibly close to his body as his profile was flushed against her cheek. With one hand he held the back of her head, with the other the small of her back.
Inhaling softly he took in the smell of her. Her skin mixed with the smell of makeup. He didn’t care. It was her, all over, intoxicating, never ending.
“Not now” He mumbled against her cheek. “You can nag me all you want. Just not now. Later”
She mumbled something, all he could tell was the vibration against his nose and lips. His brow was furrowed and his lips pursed in a silent kiss against her cheek. Whatever she had said, she didn’t repeat it again, not that he cared.
They stayed like that for a while. Minutes probably passed, people probably crossed the street and looked at them, in the front porch, door wide open, as he just towered over her frame. Her hands perched at either side of his jacket, without saying a word until she shivered.
Dubz realised she was in her pjs, that she was probably cold, and he wasn’t exactly that much of a heat source given all the time he had spent out that night. His hands were cold, his toes felt numb, so she must’ve been double that cold.
“Sorry” He let go of her, looking at the ground before he could manage to look her in the eye. “It’s kinda cold tonight, huh”
“Kinda” She answered with a small nod. Then she looked behind her to the open door and pointed to it with her thumb. “We can go in, if you want”.
He thought about it for a second, but finally nodded, putting both hands in his pockets and following her inside. “Your aunt’s not home?”
She closed the door behind him, and he took off his shoes without much thought. Left them to the side so he wouldn’t stain the carpeted floors.
“Not now, no” She quickly went and grabbed some slippers, handing them to him. “The kids have this function thing going on at school so they went to see them. They said they’ll eat dinner with their son as well so they won’t be back for a while”
“How are they?” He looked around, as if he had never seen the house before. There were some new frames with family pictures. And a couple of Noa’s as well.
“They’re good, you know. I’m afraid I give them too much trouble” She went to the kitchen and he stopped at the door. “Tea? I have a blend of lime tree, chamomile, valerian and passionflower drops- that’s if you want them”
She showed him the container with the blend and he couldn’t help but chuckle, shaking his head while pinching the bridge of his nose in disbelief.
“Of course you do” He extended his hand towards her, still finding it funny. “Yeah, that’d be nice. Thank you”
She made a face and said something between her teeth. He didn’t understand, but he was sure it had something to do with him and he probably didn’t want to know.
“You can wait for me on the other room” She pointed at the sitting room, while turning on the kettle. “Sit down and take a moment to relax and… all that”
“I’m good” He simply observed, leaning against the doorframe as she was now putting the blend on a teabag.
Dubz preferred keeping an eye on her as she moved around the wooden kitchen. The light was warm, almost too much. Orange and made her look kind of weird. But it was a nice weird, he supposed, she looked sort of funny in her pink pj pants and that silly top of hers.
Not that the top was particularly funny. It was more about what it did for him than what it did for her, he supposed. Something like that.
“There we go” She said when the alarm went off. Grabbing the kettle and pouring the steaming water on a mug. Then she grabbed a small plate, a honey jar and a spoon and put it all in a tray before ushering him out of the way.
“Go, go!” She waved her hand in the direction of the door at the end of the hall. “It’s gonna get cold before we get there”
Dubz laughed and in a couple of steps he was already sitting down in the flowery pink and cream couch.
She sat down on an armchair and prepared the whole thing without a word, offering the mug once she felt it was done. She remained sitting forward, both elbows on her knees while she looked at him.
He could tell she was dying to know what happened. But, for whatever reason, perhaps out of compassion or manners, she didn’t say anything. Just waited for him to drink his tea in silence.
I've finally found a name for the fic!! I struggle so bad with titles, it takes me the longest time to find something I remotely like.
Warnings: As always, foul language. Also, like, two slightly suggestive comments on Dubz's part. He's being tame, for now. Things will get spicier later. English is not my first language, I'm trying my hardest here.
Dubz might be OOC, I haven't watched the movie so this is my interpretation of HIM. Nothing else is from the movie. This is just based off vibes and vibes alone.

Chapter 1: In wich Noa finds her keys.
One thing she hated about London was the lack of blinds. She longed for the ability to roll down blinds and make the room pitch black. Instead, heavy-duty curtains were all she had, and they weren't even effective enough to block out the sun worsening the pounding headache she woke up with after a night of crying. It left her feeling as though she had been beaten up. Fortunately, she didn’t need to leave for university until the afternoon, so she had time to take a painkiller and collect herself.
As she did, she resolved to take a slow approach to her morning. She needed time to process her feelings, perhaps write them down, engage in some self-care, listen to music, and enjoy a leisurely bath. Her uncle had promised to install a shower in the upstairs bathroom, but so far, only the en-suite had one. She didn't feel entirely comfortable using it, so she opted for the old bath.
With her new resolution in mind, she automatically felt a bit better. Determined to avoid checking her phone and disrupting her newfound peace, she threw back the flower-covered covers and hopped out of bed.
In the kitchen downstairs, her grand aunt was busy preparing something, while her husband tended to the garden outside. Their little dog, Luna, frolicked around the backyard, chasing after insects. Luna had been a gift for the couple's grandchildren, but when the kids lost interest, their mother harshly returned the puppy back to the couple. When Noa arrived in London, she was the loveliest surprise. The lapdog provided comfort during her sad moments, always ready for long cuddling sessions under the blankets.
"Good morning, sweetie," her grandaunt greeted as Noa entered the kitchen. "There's coffee in the fridge. Your uncle made some for you when we got up."
Without even opening the fridge, Noa grabbed some sugar and milk while her aunt continued chatting.
"Tony got you an espresso machine on Amazon. We talked to him the other day, and your uncle asked him to get it. That way, you can have your coffee just the way you like it every single day."
Noa put everything together after getting the big glass, half full of black coffee. She stirred it with a smile and when she took the empty icetray to the sink, kissed her aunt loudly on the cheek. "I’ll go thank him. That’s really nice of him. You didn’t have to ask for me."
“Oh now, don’t be silly," her aunt responded, drying off some dishes after returning the kiss with her own loud mwah! "You don’t have to be shy about what you want. If we can get it for you, it’s no issue at all. Your uncle loves you very much, and he talks to your grandpa every day. He wouldn’t be able to face his brother if he didn’t take the best care of you. We're all very proud of you. If you want a coffee machine, we’ll get it for you, no ifs. Money is worth nothing if you don’t use it."
Though her aunt didn't explicitly mention it, Noa knew the old woman could tell her grandniece was homesick. The woman had never been one to conceal her feelings, and Noa appreciated her openness, even though she felt a bit guilty for burdening her relatives. However, she promised herself never to voice her discomfort as that would be ungrateful.
“No going out in the garden like that!” her aunt cautioned as Noa headed outside. “It’s cold, and you’ll get your feet all wet.”
The woman opened the window to the backyard, called to her almost deaf husband with her arm extended. “Antonio!” She did this a few times until Luna started barking, which finally got his attention, and he looked at his wife, small eyes wondering what she’d want with the sweetest smile. “The girl wants to thank you for the coffee! Don’t let her get her new slippers wet!”
It was almost impossible that the man would have understood anything his wife told him, but as always, he looked at Noah and smiled. “There you are,” he said softly for a man who had struggled to even hear his own voice since he was a kid. Her granduncle had always been a most soft-spoken man. “How are you, dear? You woke up early today. Do you have class?”
“No, not until later,” Noa replied, making sure he could read her lips. “I have one after lunch.”
“That’s wonderful,” her granduncle said with a smile. “We’ll have lunch together, then. Your aunt can make some curry for you. It’s been a while since you’ve had any. You’ll like it very much.”
Noa nodded, still smiling. “That’d be great.” With that, she excused herself and headed back upstairs.
In her room, she dropped onto her chair, pulling the fluffy white blanket close. After setting down her cold coffee, she turned on her trusty iMac and checked her emails. With that task completed, she put on a video for background noise and started writing in her journal.
The pastel purple iMac had been her biggest acquisition ever. Her dad got it for her after her old laptop crashed in a failed attempt to render some 3D animation she had been assigned to do for class. Poor thing, it started to sound like the ventilation was wheezing. The bottom got hot, and when she went to check after twenty minutes, it was dead. Her dad had managed to bring it back to life by resetting it, but it was clear as day that Noa would need something a bit more heavy-duty if she wanted to get anything done. So, her father, being the tech maniac that he was, decided to make an investment and get the lovely computer as a gift for her. “Don’t ever ask for anything again,” he told her, perhaps afraid to sound too sweet. Fathers, whoever knew what they were thinking?
With that in mind, he had made sure she could take the machine with her. No, she didn’t know at the time, but her dad had arranged a lot for her to feel at home at her uncle’s. Such as buying new furniture for what was going to be her room and asking for a bunch of favours from his cousins to get it all ready before she arrived. She found out quickly, though, as her aunt started boasting about her sweet nephew and how much he cared about his daughters. Noa knew that; she just wished he was better at voicing it, instead of only showing it with expensive gifts and the smallest acknowledgments. He mostly nodded his head and high-fived her for any achievements. Then, he showed up with expensive phones, computers, clothes, all that stuff, as if it covered for the big hole in her and her sister’s lives.
She was done writing in her journal and shaking off the headache when she stretched on her chair and looked out the window. She had learned to expect rain every day. It came as smoothly as it left. People had all sorts of names for rain there, for her, it was way simpler. Back home, drizzle and a particularly dark day ruined everyone’s mood, plans were rearranged or completely thrown out the window. Now that the sun wasn’t out yet, she had to make do with willpower, if she wanted to keep her good mood throughout the day.
Class had been hard, not because it was particularly difficult, but because she was extremely sleepy. She had asked her friends to get out and skip the last couple of hours in place for some coffee and conversation. They had agreed. No questions asked, they walked out the door so fast Paula stepped on her girlfriend’s heel, and they almost fell on their faces right by the door.
How had she managed to land these two idiots? She didn’t know, she was quite happy when Paula approached her and told her to hang out with her and Andrea. “We should stick together,” she concluded. Noa, intimidated by her new environment as she had been, couldn’t have agreed more.
“I honestly don’t dislike the woman,” Paula said, taking a sip of her coffee. “I think you both just love to hate on people.”
“She’s as bright as an arsehole,” Noa replied bluntly. “You like her because you’re too good a person.”
Andrea, who had been quietly sipping her coffee, nodded in agreement. “She’s a bitch. She just loves to see us suffer.”
“Well, maybe she’s right, we just don’t know the language well enough!” Paula retorted, her hands gesturing animatedly. “Or maybe it’s just the way she sounds, I don’t know…”
Noa got lost in the swirling of her coffee for a long moment before speaking. “They all sound the same, it’s like they haven’t known joy for a day in their life.”
“I mean, they probably haven’t,” Andrea added, her fingers entwined with Paula’s curly hair as she spoke. “They throw themselves off balconies as soon as they’re out of here.”
Paula opened her mouth to respond but then closed it, looking like some sort of stunned fish.
“What?” Andrea asked with a smirk.
“Nothing,” she finally managed to say. “I was going to try to defend them, but they’re way too uptight. It’s like they’ve got a stick up their ass.”
“Finally, some common sense!” Andrea patted Paula’s shoulder, and Noa took a sip of her coffee before adding. “By the way, my uncle got me an espresso machine.”
Paula and Andrea practically jumped in their seats. Good, cheap coffee was something they sorely missed from home. Yet, when it was just the three of them, they felt a sense of peace reminiscent of home.
He put the bike away, making sure it wouldn’t bother him while he was working. He was at the back of the garage, surrounded by a bunch of metals scraps, motor parts, and toolboxes he had left there completely forgotten, trying to find the battery he needed amongst his own chaos.
A deafening crash made him almost jump over the hood of an old Mercedes that had been there for months now. He found Dickie in the middle of the working space, big aluminum sheet in his hands, looking at a box he had dropped by maneuvering, like an uncoordinated elephant in a circus.
“The fuck, Dick?” he asked, raising both his hands so the guy could see him behind all the mess. “You honestly thought you could steal from me, you big fucker?”
The accusation seemed to snap Dickie back to reality. His freckled face turned almost the same shade as his hair, and his shoulders tensed so high up they reached his ears. He laughed nervously in an attempt to brush it off.
“Not 'steal,' no,” he said, leaning the metal sheet against a small Honda. “Just borrowing it. I’m working on something big, and the guys are helping me out. We thought if it works, I could start me own business instead of taking up space here. The kids have been asking you for help, and I know you turned them down because of me. It’s not fair to any of you.”
Dubz, taken aback, stepped out of the cluttered space, pressing his fingers against his scalp as he tried to process what he had just heard. “I didn’t turn down any kids,” he explained. “I get them different jobs. I don’t want those little bastards in my garage; anything here costs more than they’re worth.”
Dick shook his head, gesturing around them. “This place is a mess, Dubz. Give them enough for a ten-pack, and they’ll leave it looking brand-new.”
Dubz grabbed a chair and sat down, resting his chin in his hands as he looked at Davey. “That doesn’t mean you have to leave,” he insisted. “If it’s money you need, I’ll pay you more. If it’s because of Mags, tell her I’ll make things right. I’ll pay you what you’re worth. I’ll make it work.”
But Dubz knew it was because of Mags. She had never quite warmed up to him, disliking how much time Dickie spent helping him with the garage, despite the fact that it barely made any money. He vividly remembered the day when the angry blonde had stormed into his house, lecturing him about business. It was likely because of her, though Dick just shook his head and leaned against the Honda. They stayed in silence for a moment, and Dubz hoped he was considering his offer.
“She’s pregnant,” Dickie finally blurted out.
“The- what?” Dubz was astounded, to which Dickie burst out laughing.
“Margaret. She’s pregnant. That’s why I need a job of me own, Dominic, not because of how much you pay me. I need to do things right. For the kid. For myself, for me kid.”
Dubz didn’t know what to say; that was unusual. Congratulations? Apologies? Should they make it look like an accident? Who in their right mind would want to have a child with that woman? She was going to make his life miserable, or so he imagined. At least not right now.
“Are you going to baptize it?” Dubz blurted out eventually.
“Do you know better than fucking asking shit?” Dick responded fervently, pointing at him as if he was insane for even considering it.
Dubz, seeing his friend come back to his senses, smiled and raised his hands in surrender. “Alright, Richie, was just ankin'.”
“Bite my ass, bro,” Dickie retorted. “Here I was about to make you godfather.”
Dubz couldn’t contain his laughter, almost giggling like a child who had successfully gotten under his best friend’s skin. “Just facts, mate. Deal with it. I knew I was the godfather before you even opened your big mouth.”
Finally, he got up from his tattered chair and embraced Dickie, hugging him tightly. He could feel his friend shaking, so he held onto him, not letting go even when he tried to pull away. Kissing his cheek and then his temple as he reassured him they would all be there for him. He knew how scared the kid must have been about everything that was about to come, but he also knew he was not one to back down.
He was a good man, maybe too good. A sweet and caring boy who had left school at a young age to help his Nan take care of his baby sister when his mother left. Dubz had taken him in because he needed help with the garage. Dickie never intended to cause trouble; he was always willing to help. Trouble just seemed to have a way of finding him, much like it found Dubz himself.
So, they stayed there, talking about old times, Dickie's future plans, and his future baby. Like two old hags, they even discussed weddings, baptisms, houses, mortgages, and religion.
Afterward, Dubz helped Dick gather what he needed and took it in the old van to the property down the street from his grandma's house. It was a yard he had bought to start his own shop.
After a while, Dubz realized it was getting late. He had promised an old neighbor that he would do him a favor.
He hugged his old friend one last time, promising to come back and help and wishing him all the best for him and Mags.
He looked up from his bike and saw her approaching, carrying a large black bag against her side, clutching it tightly as if afraid someone might try to sneak their hand inside. She was engrossed in conversation with her girlfriends, laughing loudly and chatting animatedly. He felt like a big, bad wolf, waiting for a little schoolgirl with new, bright, patent leather shoes as she left class to go home after a long day of being the perfect little student. Or was she? Dubz couldn't tell.
Some things he knew for certain, like how her pretty eyes made him feel like jumping out of a plane, confident that he would land on his feet as long as she kept looking at him. She was a pretty little thing, all dolled up for anyone to see. She made his blood boil in all the right ways. Soon, her eyes found his, but just as quickly, she looked away. Leaving him high and dry, yearning for another glimpse. He laughed, feeling like the dog she probably saw him as. He couldn't change her mind if she didn't give him the chance. So, he decided to try, if only for the fun of it.
She stopped abruptly, huffing in annoyance and turning her head toward him. Her sunglasses were probably worth more than he earned in a month of full-time work. Yet he couldn't blame her; he would buy her the world if she were to only ask. What a terrible position to be in, to be so whipped that he would go out of his way to explain himself to anyone, let alone a pretty face.
"What do you want?" she asked, her voice tinged with anger. Dubz couldn't help but laugh.
"You don't want to know, love," he replied. Her response was to insult him and walk away. His eyes roamed over her figure once, then twice. Well, maybe she was more than just a pretty face after all. Props to him for having such good taste. "Come on, I'll give you a ride," he offered, handing her a helmet. He always carried a spare; he couldn't afford to have women breaking their heads open, not that it was his style anyway.
"No thanks," she replied quickly, making him snicker. "You're a creep."
Ouch, that hurt. But it was sort of true, wasn't it? Not that he could deny it, given the situation he had put himself in. What had he been expecting? That she would fall at his feet just like that? Did he think so highly of himself? Maybe, on some days. But he didn't think so lowly of her.
"Alright, not my finest moment, got it," he said, setting the helmet down; she was leaving, and with her, his chance was gone. "You dropped your keys last night," he finally said, fishing them out of his pocket and dangling them in front of his face. "I asked around; they told me you'd be here. Nice family you've got; we wouldn't want to worry them sick over some lost keys, would we?"
More surprised than her were her friends, two rather nice looking girls. Not that he had any interest in them, as they played for the other team. He wasn't one to judge or care. They couldn't do anything for him, anyway.
She didn't immediately step forward. Her bright eyes searched his, as if trying to determine who he was. He gave her his best smile, extending his arm as far as he could to give her the keys, barely using two fingers to hold them so she wouldn't have to touch him. Finally, she relented, and he dropped the keys into her palm, which gave way under the weight.
He withdrew his hands to his bike, still smiling. "Be careful out there," he commented. “Wouldn’t want pops worried about you either. Too precious to lose, I'll wager."
Her brow furrowed, and she glanced at her friends over her shoulder. With her keys still in hand and her bag hugged closer than ever, as if that would protect her.
"Thanks." She finally muttered, and if Dubz had not seen her lip-gloss shiny lips move, he wouldn't have been able to tell. "For yesterday. And for now. Just... thanks."
"You're very welcome, sweetheart. If you ever need help, just call. I live two blocks down. Fixed your pops’ old car, so no shame in asking for a hand," he said with a shrug. He could tell they were getting ready to leave, the two behind her. "Don't miss your bus."
With that, he put his helmet on, fastened it quickly, revved the engine, and left. Yet as he did, he couldn't help but look back. She was a lovely thing, looking at him with her mouth still open as if she had something to say. Yet he had to focus on the road far too soon for his liking, missing how the girls huddled together and started running down the street. "What a fucking creep!"
Comments: Please I'd love feedback and interactions! Thank you for getting this far and bearing with me!

‼ ‼ WARNINGS: fluff that is all.
The pitter-patter of tiny feet could be heard down the hall in the direction of the kitchen. You turned to the side to face your better half. “She's awake.” You mumbled against your pillow, nuzzling against it, keeping your eyes closed. When it didn’t seem he moved one bit, you leaned over and kissed his forehead. “Dubz.” You smiled lazily and plopped your head back down.
Dubz groaned under his breath but still wore a sneaky smile that grew over his lips. “My turn?”
“Mhm.” You nudged him with your elbow trying to push him to the edge of the bed and chuckled lazily. Dubz nodded tiredly and yawned. He then leaned over to you and kissed you quickly. “Thank you, babe.”
Dubz didn't put up much of a fight, he rolled off the bed and tugged on his loose sweatpants and muscle shirt. “You better get up soon!” He patted your ass playfully and then strolled to the kitchen to see the little girl climbing up on the counter and taking down a bowl. “Daisy? What on earth are you doing?” He half smiled at his daughter and walked over to pick her up off the counter.
“Cereal. I wanted to surprise you and mama!” She kicked out her legs as Dubz hugged her to him. He kissed her cheek playfully and set her down.
“Oh? Really?” He grabbed two bowls and winked at her. “Mama is still asleep. How about it just be you and me?” She nodded her head in agreement, and the messy ponytail bounced around as she followed him to the table. She took her usual seat with the monster placemat.
Dubz smiled softly as he watched her from the corner of his while he poured the cereal and milk into the bowls, he placed her green bowl in front of her. “Thanks!” She squeaked and immediately dug into the Lucky Charms.
Dubz sat across from her and ate a spoonful of cereal from his bowl. She did a little dance in her seat.
A relaxed smile grew over the father’s lips. The moment you said you were pregnant, Dubz knew something was going to have to give. He wasn't going to be able to continue in his ways. He promised he would stay with you, and learn to provide for you and the baby. You weren’t unfamiliar with what Dubz was tied up in, you were worried he was going to continue. You two fought about it in the beginning, but he never left you. He was with you.
His last run was nearly a disaster. You went into labor and he was out with the crew. No one could get a hold of him. You kept wanting to wait for him, you needed him with you. He was checked out when they arrived at their little safe house.
He read the messages dropped everything and went to the hospital. Your friend didn't want to let him in, but you told him it was fine. He shoved past your friend and entered the room. Something changed the moment he saw you and Daisy on the bed. Tears were beginning to fill, he hurried over to you and kissed your forehead. Then Daisy’s. He apologized and promised it would all be different.
He kept his word. He left. It was hard, you felt you were constantly watching your back. Dubz came home one night with a black eye, but as time went on, it was less. He started working in a kitchen at a local restaurant, picking up skills that he could. He was saving up to get a house and working to get out of the little apartment. You continued working, you never halted.
“Dad, what kind of cookies does Santa eat?” Daisy kicked out her legs and stood up on her knees. Milk covered her mouth as she looked at him curiously.
Dubz let out a light chuckle and shrugged. “What kind of cookies do you like?”
“Umm…” She scrunched up her face giving it some thought. “Chocolate!” she exclaimed happily and cleaned off her mouth with the sleeve of her pajamas. She climbed off the chair and walked over to her dad. “Could we make some?”
“Of course, love.” He kissed the top of her head. “We can do that.” He nodded. “First we gotta go wake up mama.”
Daisy nodded and waited for her dad, then took his hand and hurried to the room. Daisy let go of his hand and jumped on the bed, falling over you. “Mama! Up! Up.” she giggled.
You were half awake but feeling Daisy completely awoke you. “Baby,” you grinned and hugged her, chuckling. You kissed her cheek playfully and tickled her sides. She laughed kicking out her legs and squirming around on the bed.
Dubz made himself comfortable next to you. “Her idea,” he said and kissed your shoulder.
“So sure.” you smiled lovely at him. You kissed him quickly but it was cut short, Daisy wiggled herself between the both of you. She tried to wrap her little arms around you and Dubz.
“Dad said he would make cookies.” Daisy smiled widely
“He did?” You kissed your daughter’s temple. “I guess we better make sure dad doesn't burn them huh?”
“Hey! I haven't done that in years.” Dubz snorted a laugh. He hugged you and Daisy to him. “My loves.” His heart was full. He couldn't picture the next steps without you. You and Daisy were his family and he was going to fight like hell to keep you two safe.
“Let's go. Let's go!” Daisy climbed off the bed, jumped up a little
“Yes yes. We are going.” you sat up and watched her jumping on the bed. You felt Dubz curl up next to you and kiss your lower back gently. He nipped your hip, you turned to give a quick glance. You leaned down and kissed him quickly. “I love you.” You kissed him once then twice.
Daisy jumped off the bed and landed on her knees but didn’t cry. She brushed back her messy hair and turned to look at the both of you. “Now?”
Dubz nuzzled against you and laughed at Daisy’s impatience. You patted his ass and then kicked back the blankets, and stepped off the bed. “Let’s change out of your pajamas. And then we can bake the cookies, yeah?” You picked up your daughter and turned to look at Dubz. “Go get the stuff ready. Please!” You blew him a kiss as did Daisy and the two of you walked to her room to change.
“On it!” Dubz called out after you. He exhaled happily, not dropping his smile. He walked into the kitchen started gathering the ingredients he knew he would need for the cookies.
"Un poke loco!" Daisy started singing loudly as she came down the hall with you chasing her with the hairbrush. Dubz turned around to enjoy the show of Daisy running circles around you to stay away from the brush. "My amor!" She sang and laughed dodging you.
"Daisy!" You called out and raised your eyebrows when she made eye contact with you. She smiled mischievously at you.
"Poke loco!" She spun around and held out her arms to you.
Dubz laughed softly at the antics of his daughter. You turned to look at him and he shrugged, pointing down to the flour.
"Lucky." You stuck your tongue out at him, then went on trying to brush your daughter's hair.

☼ Summary/Request: Is there any possibility for more of Dubz with his Innocent!Reader? I want to see him doing all kinds of kinky stuff to her and getting poor Reader all flustered (but in Cloud 9) all the time 🥴😩 - anon 🎀🍭
↬ Vignettes (be good for you): One. One.Five.
✎ A/N: Dubz imagine. This was a ride to write. lol! I did some research in the depths of reddit. I am not sure if i fulfilled the kinks? AH! Still working on getting comfortable with writing smut scenes. But I really hope it's good! Funny to read lol Please go into this with the warnings. Part is told in Dubz's POV and then turns back to reader. I decided to do like a vignette instead of a part 2. If you would like more of a part 2 anon, please let me know. I am really enjoying these two (i created a pinterest board and music list...). Feedback, comments, suggestions are always appreciated. Thank you so much! It really makes my day. ♥
‼ ‼ WARNINGS: feels, language, naughty stuff so smut [18+], some knife play, fluff.
“Do you trust me, bubs?”
“Yes? I mean - sure.” A quick pause, you held up your hand to my chest as if you were debating what to say next. Then gave an assertive nod. “Of course. I trust you.”
Watching you stammer through your words made my mouth twitch into a wanting smile. You were so fucking cute when you got nervous - especially during arousing scenarios.
“Perfect.”
I dragged my lips down your chest, nipping at the sides of your chest through the material of your shirt. I could see your nipples harden through the white blouse when my lips went over your breasts. To make things interesting, I flicked my tongue teasingly against the erected nipples. A feeling of heat rushed through me when I heard the response with a soft gasp.
Your eyes closed as you pushed your back against the wall trying to steady yourself. This would soon move to the bedroom, but I wanted to watch you squirm a little. A little bit of the foreplay. It was interesting to watch you in the moment since there was nothing near you for you to grip.
I could feel your knees lightly collide against my body as you tried to keep your balance while I made my way down your body, my fingertips exploring every inch of you, something I had gotten to know so well.
Your fingertips briefly touched my shoulders but I glanced up at you, shaking my head at you. “Nope.” I laughed softly against your still jean-covered hips. I lifted up the shirt and brushed my tongue playfully against your uncovered skin. You growled in response.
“But- Ugh!“ You curled your fingers midair, then slammed them against the wall, scrapping at the wallpaper. “Asshole.” You breathed, covering your face trying. I already could feel myself become provoked with each move your body made, the whiney noises erupting in your chest. My cock pressed hard against my jeans.
You living with me was honestly the best of both worlds - it checked safety but also pleasure. I kept you close to me, I was able to make sure you were safe. It made you feel safe, you had someone on your side to support you.
Then we also got to have fun. Of course, everything I had asked of you needed your approval. You grew curious and more curious which was fucking beautiful.
I was finally on my knees, kissing the spot between your legs over your jeans. Hearing you fight back a moan was delicious and alluring to me. Your hips pushed up in response to my hand gently touching your thigh.
“Dubz…” you whispered.
“Trust, baby.” I finally stood up, touching your chin so your eyes were locked on mine. “Close your eyes,” I whispered and kissed your lips lightly, barely touching you. Your lips frowned in response but did as you were told.
I waited a moment to take you in. The way you were breathing harder than before but still remaining calm. I already knew inside of you was a mess, I was enticed seeing how far I could go with you, how far I could push you.
I slipped the small switchblade I had cleaned beforehand and snapped it open. Your shoulders tensed at the sound for a moment then dropped down when placed my palm flatly against your belly.
I took the flat side of the blade and carefully dragged it across your stomach. I had chilled it before I had brought it to the game. So the metal was nice and cold. Small goosebumps were beginning to take over your body in response to the new object.
Your eyebrows knitted together but you didn’t say anything or push it away. I kissed your left cheek, then your right cheek. “Safe word is Blue,” I whispered against your skin.
I waited for your response which was a nod. “Got it.” You breathed.
I trailed the flat side of the blade against your thigh while I nipped at your neck. I resisted the urge to nip too hard, but you made it so difficult to resist. You moved your neck to the side exposing more of you to me. While pressing the flat side blade harder into your skin, I bit down on you, happily leaving a mark on your skin.
I ran the tip of the blade over the zipper of your jeans, enjoying the dragging sound. “Don’t move, bubs. I’ll tell you when,” I murmured the words against your cheek. I strategically placed the tip against your belly button. You sucked in a breath and exhaled staggerly.
“Bed,” I said.
Your eyes fluttered open for a quick second - gathering your bearings - and nodded quickly, then you ambled toward the bed. Your knees pressed against the edge of the bed. I smirked coyly at you, taking a gentle hold of you. “Trust,” I repeated as I slipped out the bandana from my back pocket.
“I-“ you smiled nervously but I could see a hint of excitement behind it. You closed your eyes obediently.
I kissed your forehead while I placed the bandana around your eyes. You let out a small chuckle as your hands automatically went up to touch the fabric.
I took hold of your hands, guided them apart, and peppered your arms with gentle kisses. Then, I kissed your throat as your head started to lean to the side.
I ran the knife quickly through the center of the shirt watching it as it fell open. I didn’t need to tell you what to do next, you discarded the torn material. My cock twitched in response to seeing you completely vulnerable. I admired the birthmarks that scattered your breasts. Exhaled.
My lips went to your collarbone and I guided you backward onto the bed, hovering over you. I ran the flat side of over the top of your breasts, carefully over your nipples. Then down the center over your body. Using the tip very gently, I traced my initials below your belly butting but made sure to not break the skin. It was so fucking fun watching you arch your back in response to the sensation.
Goosebumps again scattered over your body, and you bit down on your bottom lip. You pressed your knee against the side of my body. I laughed softly against your skin and then took hold of your chin. “Patience.”
“You have got to be kidding me,” you whined mixed with frustrated laughter.
I slid the pocket knife away, I used my lips to explore your exposed body. Your hands were gripping the sheets tightly while I held down your arms not allowing you to touch me. I traced the small tattoo of a compass rose along your rib cage with my lips.
Suddenly, I watched as you slid up from underneath me, pulling off the bandana. You cupped the side of my face and locked your caring eyes with mine. “Blue.” You kissed me deeply, taking control and shoving me down onto the bed. I laughed at the sudden change, but I didn’t stop you.
You bumped your hips against mine while you worked on unbuckling my jeans. I returned the favor. We both kicked off the remaining pieces of material, shoving them aside onto the floor. You laid back and brought me on top of you, wrapping your legs loosely around my waist.
I rested my hands on your hips, while I watched you for a moment, just a moment. I was sadly always waiting for the moment someone would come in and rip this happiness from me. Not having what I wanted was something I grew up with.
You only received glimpses of what it was like for me - growing up. I always had to claw and fight for what I wanted. I told you stories, but then played them off as if they were nothing. But the way you looked at me, you wanted to pry for more. You never did. I wanted you to but then backed down.
Being with someone - like you - was something I didn’t plan for. As fucking cliche as it is, I didn’t think it was written in the stars. You were here - in front of me. Loving me. Every fucked up piece of me. Every criminal piece of me. It scared the shit of me how much I wanted you. But I didn’t want to rewrite this either.
“Dubz,” you leaned in and kissed me softly once. Then twice. “I love you.”
“Say it again.”
You carried the new bundle of costumes as you entered the building. Luckily, you remembered to clip your keys to your belt loop as you ran toward the elevator. “Hold! Please!”
You exhaled and thanked the older woman as she held the elevator open for you. The elevator seemed busy today - more people than usual. You reached for the button for your floor, grinning at the people who were standing near the controls.
The people seemed to be lost in their own conversations, you watched as the numbers dinged and glanced at yourself in the reflection of the elevator door. Your lips twitched into a grin when you saw who was behind you.
Dubz stepped up closer to you, doing his best not to bump into anyone else. He kissed your shoulder. “Be still, bubs.” He whispered to you. His fingers slid between your legs underneath your dress.
You clenched your jaw, holding your breath when you felt fingers find you. He started only to massage you.
You swallowed as your fingers gripped the costumes tighter, trying to gulp down the moans wanting to erupt inside of you. Fuck this guy.
Your toes curled inside your boots when you felt his fingers slip inside of you. He was enjoying this, you could feel him smiling and almost laughing at your expense. People were slowly leaving the elevator and none seemed to notice you and your boyfriend in the midst of this game.
“Good day, dear!” The older woman waved at you exchanging a quick glance at you.
“You too!” You squeaked out and laughed breathy as she exited the elevator. She gave you a quizzical look at your response but then went on her way.
Once the doors closed, you clutched the railing on the side of the elevator. “Fuck!” You breathed while Dubz moved inside of you, feeling every piece of you until you were completely damp.
The doors opened to your floor and he stepped around you, smirking at you. “We’re home, bubs!”
Your legs were wobbly for a moment before you could follow him to the apartment door. You nudged him once you reached him, he was only laughing and gave you a quick kiss.
“I hate you right now.” You gave him a two-finger salute as you stomped your way inside the apartment first.
“I still love you!” He hugged you tightly from behind, kissing your cheek sloppily. Despite yourself, a smile started to form over your lips. He could act a fool but you were quick to forgive him.

☼ Summary/Request: Hi! Innocence kink Anon here! Well my idea was something along the lines of Dubz falling for F!Ready who's all soft, smol and timid. He feels the need to protect her at all costs but at the same time do all kinds of naughty, filthy things to her too, nothing extremely rough or painful though (perhaps he's so smitten he even slightly considers retiring from his crime ring? sorry, I'm just that corny 😆) - anon.

The Meet Cute. Another day of getting yelled at by a “satisfied” customer for something their child did and somehow it was your fault.
“You are supposed to be Sleeping Beauty! Not - this,” the mother gestured toward your blue costume. You worked for a small party company that brought princesses and characters to life at children’s parties. It wasn’t ideal, but you fell into it.
“Ma’am,” You tried to remain calm and dug into your backpack to pull out the receipt. “Here it says Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Not Aurora.” You forced yourself to smile kindly at the mother. Her child was having a fit saying she hated Belle and wanted Aurora. She asked for Aurora.
The mother narrowed her eyes at the receipt and huffed. “Fine! But I will make a call to your boss later. Go on and sing your damn song,” she scoffed, waved her hand at you, and then went to walk to the other mothers.
“I love my job. I love my job.” You mumbled to yourself as you walked over to the birthday girl. “Hi, Charlotte!” You smiled sweetly and giggled as the other girls applauded. You took in a deep breath and started to sing the song they requested. The little girls - including the birthday girl - all cheered and danced around.
The party was over and you left happily to your apartment still in costume. Frankly, you didn’t care. The blue maiden outfit was actually comfortable and you only wanted to get out of the party. However, you made a mental note to remember the seller.
You reached the apartment building and pressed the button for the elevator. Once you heard the ding going off, you took a step forward but were nearly knocked down by a woman and a man who were all over each other. “Sorry…” you murmured as you begrudgingly allowed them to step in first, then you followed. You reached for your floor - the man reached as well pressing the same button. You glanced up to see it was your neighbor, Dubz.
“Hey, angel or should I say Belle,” he smirked at you before returning to his date.
“Hey…” you mumbled and crossed your arms as you watched the floors light up.
Dubz and his date were smacking lips, the woman was breathing hard and whispering for him to keep going. You raised your eyebrows trying to focus on something; you ended up looking at yourself in the reflection of the elevator doors.
As much as you tried not to, your eyes began to drift to the opposite side and they ended up locking with Dubz’s. He was squeezing the woman’s hips, pushing her against himself. You couldn’t see his hands, so you assumed they were busy pleasuring the woman.
All through this heated exchange, he kept his gaze locked on you. His lips formed into a curious smile.
You started to feel this tingly sensation just below your belly. You blinked and broke the gaze, clearing your throat and playing with the apron.
You exhaled, not realizing how long you were holding your breath for. You stepped out of the elevator and immediately hurried into your apartment. You didn’t bother to see if Dubz and his date stepped out after you, you needed a moment to yourself, to gather yourself. You lived next door to Dubz for a few months now. The most you had said to him was morning, good night, or excuse me. The conversations weren’t very thought-provoking.
After you took a shower to wash off the day, you tugged on your favorite comfortable hoodie, leggings with some geometric shapes, and cozy socks. You grabbed your laptop, set your mug with hot tea down on the coffee table, and plopped down on the couch. Your fluffy orange cat meowed and curled up on the opposite side. “This is just for fun. Okay?” You said, then opened your laptop.
Your friend suggested you check out a website. They said it was a great stress reliever. So, you typed in the name and weren’t sure what to expect. Your eyes widened at the explicit and sexy images that started to appear. “Whoa… Okay…” You clicked on the first thumbnail.
The video started and you watched as the two people walked into the room. The woman called the man a vicious name, he took hold of her and kissed her hard. She seductively pressed her body into his, then started to tug off her dress. The two moaned and groaned as they fell into the bed.
You pursed your lips and tilted your head as you watched the people fuck each other in a direction you didn’t think was possible.
Knock. Knock.
You paused the video quickly, your face turning into a guilty expression. “Stop that,” you whispered to yourself and went to the door. You looked through the peephole to see your neighbor, Dubz, holding a package.
You unlocked the door, poked your head out, and glanced from the floor to Dubz. “Hi, Dubz. What’s up?” You opened the door a little wider, stepping on your feet nervously.
He smiled at you with those adorable crinkles forming at the sides of his eyes. There were a lot of little things you noticed about your neighbor. The one thing you didn’t miss, was the constant regular visitors to his place.
“Oh. I believe this is yours.” He held out the package and nodded his head. “Somehow it got mixed up. Hopefully, it isn’t breakable.”
You took it from him and grinned as you shook it. “Nope. Nothing broken. Just a new costume.” You answered and took a step back into your apartment.
“Oh? Is it Ariel?” He leaned against the doorframe and twitched his eyebrows upward. You laughed nervously and shook your head.
“No. No. It’s a —“ You started to answer and then shut your mouth when loud moaning erupted. You and he turned to see your cat sitting on top of the keyboard of your laptop. “Fuck! Lucifer!” You ran inside, moving your cat away, and slamming the laptop closed.
Dubz laughed softly at the scene unfolding in front of him. He glanced from the cat to you. You could feel yourself starting to heat up from embarrassment as you glanced at him for a second and then looked away, not sure what to say or do. Your hands clung to the package in your hands. “Silly, silly, pussy—“ He paused, letting the word hang in the air for a second and clicking his tongue. You caught a glimpse of his tongue ring. “Cat.”
“Ye- yeaah. Movies. Just never know these days.” You dropped your package onto the sofa and walked back to the door. “Well, thank you for the package. Have a good night!” You smiled quickly and shut the door. You flipped up the hood to your sweater, slid down the front door, and covered your face feeling completely embarrassed. So much for impressing the hot neighbor. He was probably going to laugh at you with his gorgeous date.
Lucifer strolled over to you, meowing as he started rubbing against you. “Gee. Thanks.” You scoffed as you scratched the spot underneath his chin. He didn’t seem bothered by what happened at all. He appreciated the scratches and purred at the attention.
You felt something start sliding underneath the door, poking your thigh. You turned to see a black envelope. There was no return address, it was only your name.
“Making friends, Luc?” You asked your cat as you picked up the envelope and carefully opened it. An invitation to a party, it was a club you had never been inside of and only drove past. It must have been a mistake or a joke. This definitely wasn’t your scene.
You got up to your knees and opened the door. You poked your head outside and saw Dubz walking back toward his apartment. “Hey!”
He stopped as his hand was about to turn the knob and turned his head in your direction. You moved past the door on your knees and waved the envelope at him. “This yours?”
“Nope. That is all yours, bubs.” He shrugged as he casually strolled back over to you. You shook the envelope as if it was going to disappear in your hands.
Dubz made it to you, and he was now towering over you. His hands were in his pockets as he stared down at you, appearing like he was studying you. His eyes seemed to be scanning over you. You pressed your hands on your thighs, holding the envelope not sure if you give it back to him. With eyes on you, it felt like it was borderline violating but also enticing. He tilted his head a little and started to grin at you biting his bottom lip.
You raised your eyebrows uncertainly and nodded while locking your eyes with his. “Okay. Thank you?”
“Mhm. See you there.” He smiled and winked playfully at you. Then turned around and walked back to his apartment. He closed the door behind him.
You breathed in feeling that tingling sensation again. You turned your head when you saw your cat open the door with his paw.
You shushed him while you headed back into your apartment, closing the door behind you.
THE FISH OUT OF WATER. You studied the invitation, dropping it on your bed as if it was going to jump out at you. “I-I-“ you started to talk to your cat. He only meowed and rolled on his back. “This is dumb. I should go. Tonight is the night. It is no big deal."
You went to your closet picking out something you hadn’t worn before. It was a purple dress with some lace shoulders. The zipper on the side got stuck a few times, but you managed despite your nerves rattling you.
You went to the bathroom and fixed up your makeup. You gave yourself a quick smile and went back to your cat. “Well?”
Lucifer stretched out his body and closed his eyes. “Yeah. Thanks.” You rolled your eyes and walked to the living room. You took a deep breath and opened the door. You had the directions saved on your phone.
You reached the destination, according to your phone, but then you stopped. “Nope. Stupid. Stupid.” It appeared the crowd that was waiting at the door weren’t people you knew. At all. Dubz wasn’t even there. So, you turned around and went to get ice cream instead.
“You look nice,” said the woman serving your cone.
“Thanks. Date canceled.” You lied as you took the cone, then headed home.
It was an utter failure. It was a joke, it had to be. You plopped down on the couch and ate your ice cream quietly. You put on the movie “Roman Holiday” and focused on the screen, pushing aside the thoughts of Dubz and the party.
It was long after when you heard commotion erupting outside the building. “What the hell…” you muttered and went to the window. You saw a scuffle turn into a full-out brawl. “Shit!” You were about to take a step back when you noticed someone. You recognized one of the men was your neighbor.
Your body reacted before your mind realized what the hell you were doing. You rushed outside and helped Dubz to his feet. “Hey! I know you!” His words slurred and he smiled confused at you.
“Yeah. You looked fucked up. Come on.” You helped him up the stairs into the elevator. “You’re bleeding a little.” You touched his cheek.
“Eh didn’t feel a thing! Should see the other guy.” He laughed as he leaned into you.
You patted his side and then exited the floor and walked to his apartment. “Key?” You held out your hand but he didn’t give much of a reaction. “Okay…” You started to search his pockets, he chuckled as you moved about. You felt his warm breath against your neck. His lips ran across your jawline.
Once you found them, you exhaled and unlocked the door to get him inside. You helped him to the couch, moving things out of the way with your foot. It was a struggle, but you got him down. “Alright! You’re good. Safe. Phew!” You brushed back your hair, he grabbed your hand and tugged you down next to him.
“You aren’t going to leave a bleeding man are you?” He asked drunkenly.
“Well…” You started to say and exhaled unsurely. “You could call someone?”
“But I have you. Here. Already.” He responded happily. “A Disney Princess would never.”
You situated yourself on the couch, then watched him carefully as he moved his head to rest on your lap. “I play superheroes too.” You pointed it out for no reason. You rolled your eyes almost calling yourself stupid.
His fingers ran up and down, over your knee then down your leg. You could hear him exhale and murmur words you couldn’t make out. You clenched your jaw and patted his shoulder. “There. There. Dubz. You’ll be okay.”
Your muscles tightened when you watched him turn on his side, his lips sloppily kissing your thighs. “You’re so soft. And nice to touch.” He whispered smiling against your skin.
You swallowed and cleared your throat. “Uh-huh.” You mumbled. “I use great cream.” You responded nervously.
“You’re so interesting, bubs.” He murmured, pushing the hem of your dress up. Your thighs clenched in response to his fingers tapping their way up toward your sensitive spot. “I’ll confess. I’ve been having a lot of thoughts.” He kissed your thigh, then pecked his way up your skin.
“Oh?” You sucked in a breath allowing your body to relax some. You didn’t know what to do next. You felt your body freeze for a moment. You saw the way he was with his date in the elevator and those pesky tingles began between your legs.
“Yes. I want to take you. I want to fuck you. I want to do a lot to you.” He laughed lazily and continued to push your dress upward. Your mind was telling you to push him back, but you didn’t. Instead, you only watched him explore the small portion of your exposed body. His lips found you, just above your center. “Please allow me.” He said the word against your body.
A response lingered on your lips, your breathing was beginning to become rapid. You figured it was a mixture of him being drunk and horny. This wouldn’t happen. You were just the person to be caught in the middle. “I’m sorry. What the hell do you mean?”
Dubz laughed frustratedly while his hands went up to your hips, massaging your hip bones. “Gah. You’re just - You’re beautiful. I’m glad no one else has come around.“ he nuzzled against your thighs working his way to spread them. “I’ll show you.” He licked his lips moved your panties aside and kissed your middle.
You gasped when you felt his tongue, his lips moving against your slit. You arched your back against the cushions and rested your head on the back. You heard him drop to his knees taking hold of your knees, letting them fall open for him.
You could feel the tingles pulsate inside of you as Dubz stayed between your legs. His pierced tongue flicked against your slit, his teeth grazed the sides of your thighs, gently nipping at the skin. You didn’t know what to do with your hands so you gripped the cushions and lifted up your hips. Dubz groaned your name as he draped your leg over his shoulder as he continued to pleasure you.
“Dubz…” you exhaled promptly. Your body relaxed when you felt the sensation between your legs skyrocket. You felt your body slowly become undone, you wanted more. You leaned forward and yanked him up by the shoulders. You looked at him and nodded your head. “You’re super drunk. Are you even aware it’s me?”
“I do, bubs.” He smiled happily and kissed your cheek, then dug his fingers into your thighs. His fingers rubbed your middle. You could feel his cock pushing against you.
“What do you want to show me?”
A small smirk graced his smooth lips. He got to his feet and then took your hand. “Let’s get me cleaned up. Yeah?” He walked you to the bathroom. A part of you wanted to run. You were accustomed to your simple relationships. But Dubz was different and alluring - maybe it was time for something new.
He started the shower then stood behind you, unzipped your dress with ease, and let it fall to the floor. You slipped off your boots. Next, he unclipped your bra and discarded it “Turn.” He whispered to you against your shoulder. “Remove.” You took off your bottoms.
You slowly did what was asked and kept your eyes on him. You tried to smile cooly but that didn’t work, nerves pulsed throughout you. You felt vulnerable and it scared you. You watched him glance over you. Then, he removed his own clothes and smiled softly at you. He stepped up to you and kissed your cheek. “Get in the shower.”
You opened your mouth to say something to rebuttal, but then just obeyed and got into the shower. He stepped in after you and gripped your face gently. “Let’s have some fun.” He turned you around and guided your hands upwards to find the wall. “You trust me?”
“Yeah. Shouldn’t I?” Your breathing was shorter, and shaky, while you felt him gently press against your body.
“Please do.” He kissed your shoulder and waited a moment. “I am going to take care of you.”
You could feel your center beginning to pulsate, being so close to him was something you honestly dreamed about. You never expected to be naked in the shower with your neighbor. “Okay.” You nodded.
He then pushed him against you then moved inside you until you two found your own special rhythm.
You shut your eyes as your body ruptured with ecstasy with each push. He tilted your head back, kissed your throat, and nipped at your skin. His hand stroked your middle teasingly. He moved harder, faster inside of you. You moaned his name and reached behind you as you fell against him digging your fingertips against his neck. He took hold of your breasts and squeezed your nipple roughly.
Dubz nuzzled against your neck, flicking his tongue playfully, and chuckled softly. “You’re perfect, bubs. So fucking perfect.” He murmured before you turned around to face him. You kissed him softly at first then bit his bottom lip before deepening the kiss attempting to match his heat.
You weren’t sure what you were doing, but you wanted more of this. It awakened something inside of you and you wanted to ride this high for as long as you could.
DIDN'T SEE IT COMING. The next few months you and Dubz created something. You allowed him inside your apartment, he waited for you to come home before pulling you inside with him. There were only a few times he didn’t show up, or return your calls. But you didn’t want to seem desperate.
You checked your phone, but there was no response. A small frown fell over your lips and you looked at Lucifer. “This is silly. I know. We aren’t even together.” You rolled your eyes and plopped down on your bed.
You slipped on your reading glasses as you picked up your book again to read the next few pages. There was a loud knock at the door. You sucked in a breath and looked at your cat. “Expecting company?” You joked and got up to go to the door. There was another knock, louder than before.
Moving back the cover to look through the peephole, they didn’t look familiar. You were about to reach for the door but stopped yourself. “How can I help you?” You called out.
“Dubz sent me.” They replied. “He wanted me to check on you.”
You bit down on your lip, then slowly opened the door but left the chain to look at the person. “How do you know-“Before you could get the full sentence out they knocked the door open roughly, breaking the chain. You stumbled backward making a mental note that you should get that replaced.
“Is he here?” The stranger started throwing things around, kicking the side tables to make as much noise as possible, and opened closed doors. “Where the fuck is he!” He yelled out at you.
“I don’t know?” You shrugged and tried to get to your feet. But the stranger kicked you on your side. You coughed.
“He thinks he can steal from me. Nah. I think I’ll send him a message.” He smiled a little and took out a switchblade. “Don’t fuck with me. Easy. Right, sweetie?” He leaned down and was about to slice your cheek, but you were quick. You kicked him in his knee, thankful for the self-defense classes.
You scrambled to your feet and hurried to the elevator. But you heard him behind you. “Fuck! Fuck!” You ran to the side and used the stairs to get to the first level. You did your best to hurry down without falling, but the man caught up with you. He yanked your hair backward, sending you falling back on the steps, your back hitting the cement.
“No! Get the fuck away!” You tried to catch your breath as you wiggled around and dodged the blade. You growled as you used your body to try to push him off. But he was able to get some cuts along your arms.
You managed to wiggle downward away from him and made it to the exit. You ran into the lobby and bumped into someone. “Help! Help me! Please! I’m being chased by this big dude.” You begged and looked up at the person. “Dubz!” You threw your bloody arms around him.
“Babe! Babe. What happened?” He put his arms around you and held you close trying to calm you down.
“He said he knew you. And - and -” You gestured to the stairs. Dubz didn’t wait for a longer response, he left the building with you heading back to the car outside. He carefully - but quickly - guided you inside and told his friend to just go.
“My cat.” You whined as you looked at your arms counting the new scars.
“It’s okay. Baby, I’ll get him.” He kissed the top of your head wrapping his arms around you. “I got you.” He exchanged a quick glance with his friend and then punched the side of the door.
The car came to a stop outside of a warehouse you didn’t recognize. Dubz helped you inside and found a space for you. He knelt down in front of you as he examined your arms. “I don’t think I’m in the mood…” you muttered not making any sense.
Dubz cupped your face and smiled weakly at you. “Bubs…” He kissed your forehead, leaving his lips against your skin for a moment “I’m sorry. I am so fucking sorry.”
His friend was telling him something you couldn’t make out the words. “Give me a fucking second!” Dubz yelled and then looked back at you. “Stay here. We are going to go get Lucifer. Okay? I swear to you.” He kissed you once then twice.
You only nodded at him. “Alright. He’s probably scared. This man just came in. He fucked up my door. I am going to get my deposit back.”
Dubz breathed in and touched your cheek lovingly. “I’ll get you whatever you need. I promise. Trust me.”
“Just my cat. Please.” You leaned forward to press your forehead against his. “Be careful, Dubz. Do me that favor.”
You could see a slight struggle fall over him as he swallowed. “I love you.” He whispered and kissed you quickly before he got up and went to his friends talking amongst each other.
You frowned when he walked away after dropping the big words. You opened your mouth as you watched him and his friends talk. You got to your feet, walked to him, and squeezed his hand.
You didn’t say anything, he didn’t push you away, he let you stay by his side.
SLEEPING IN MY HEAD. Dubz took you to his apartment while you carried Lucifer. Your arms were covered in bandages. You didn’t ask what happened to the fella, he didn’t offer you any details. You could only see the stern look on his face, almost anger that filled it when he returned to the warehouse.
You walked to the couch, but Dubz shook his head. You set a Lucifer down and walked to the bedroom. You slipped off your booties and sat crisscrossed on the bed.
Dubz paced back and forth, not saying anything to you. He chewed on his fingernails. He seemed to be lost in his own world. You had to bring him back. You got to your knees and scooted to the edge of the bed. You reached for him and stopped him from pacing. “Talk to me, D. You can. Whatever it is.”
“I actually can’t. I shouldn’t. That fucking bastard wanted to hurt you to get to me for something I fucked up on.” He finally met your gaze. He brushed his fingers across your cheek, then down your neck over your collarbone. “You got inside me. You’re in me, bubs.”
You tugged him down to rest on top of you.
Dubz tucked his hands underneath you, nuzzled underneath your chin. “I want to let you go. I should. But I selfishly do not want to. I want you to be here, with me. Near me. it’s so fucking dangerous.” He looked down at the bandages.
“My cat has done worse.” You tried to joke and kissed the top of his head. “I’m here. I could have walked away, left you. Said fuck you. But I didn’t. I stayed. I want to stay with you. Please let me stay?”
Dubz exhaled and closed his eyes for a moment. He kissed the spot between your breasts and looked up at you. “Say it again,” he said with a slight crack in his voice.
“I want to stay with you, Dubz.” You answered unsurely but then nodded confidently.
He licked his lips and pressed his lips against yours, squeezing your sides. He moved your hands above your head and kissed his way down your body, nipping at your belly button. Then he stopped, breathed in, and moved to lay beside you.
“Did I do something?” You asked breathlessly.
Dubz half smiled and pulled you closer to him so you were resting on top of his chest. “I just want this. Right now.” He kissed your forehead and walked his fingers up and down your spine.
“We can do that.” You nuzzled against his chest, brushing your fingers up and down his sides.
You stayed in that position until morning. Your body was a human alarm clock, you rubbed your face and turned to look at Dubz. A faint smile grew over your lips, you kissed his forehead.
A low grumble erupted in his throat, he nuzzled against your neck and mumbled words against you. He pulled you closer to him as you scratched his jawline playfully. “Work. I have to go to work. Don’t want to lose my job,” you spoke with a raspy voice and kissed his cheek.
You wiggled out of his grip and sat up at the edge of the bed. Dubz rubbed his fingers against your spine, carefully tracing the bruise on your back, and kissed your lower back. “Can’t you call in?” He tilted his head up at you.
“No. I am the only that knows Snow White’s songs. But you can pick me up when I’m done?” You suggested and smiled. You kissed him quickly and then got off the bed knowing you would cave in. “Deal?” You picked up your boots and smiled softly at him.
“Deal. I’ll be there.”
You leaned down and kissed him softly. “Hey,” you took a hold of his chin and waited for him to lock eyes with yours. “I love you too.” You kissed the tip of his nose and laughed softly.
Then, you forced yourself out of the room and picked up Lucifer as you headed back to your apartment. “Good choice?” You glanced at your cat who only meowed. “I’ll take that as a yes.”
NEXT CHAPTER. Dubz sat at the warehouse, rubbing his chin as the crew was planning for the next run. He was half listening and stared ahead of him, bouncing his leg up and down. He checked the time on his watch and then peered around. “I have to go.” He said and got to his feet.
“Dubz,” Ash said confused, and moved to stand in front of his friend. “We have to-“ he started to say.
“Nah.” He shook his head and bit down on his lip. “I need a break. You need to watch out for your sister, too. Sometimes this shit is not worth it. I’m quickly learning that.” He patted his friend’s shoulder and grabbed his jacket, then headed out of the warehouse ignoring the questions they had. He grabbed his bike, revved it up, and headed to the address of the party place.
He knew leaving wasn’t in the cards at the moment. But for some reason, it started to weigh on him. The thoughts of you getting hurt because of some stupid shit he did? He wasn’t sure how much longer he could tolerate it. Seeing you hurt made something inside him ache. He wanted to keep you close, protect you. He saw the bruise on your back from when you fell down the steps. He told you it didn’t look bad. But it stung seeing it on you and not on him.
Dubz parked his bike, then strolled inside the place carrying his helmet. “Alright boys and girls, be kind to all the little animals.” You clapped your hands and waved as the kids smiled wide and then went on to eat the cake. You talked to the parents for a moment and nodded as they shook your hand. Then, you turned to walk to the spot where you had your stuff.
Dubz went up to you, hugged you from behind, and smiled wide. “On time?” He kissed you quickly and rubbed your side. “Gorgeous Snow.” You kissed him back and patted his chest.
“You kept your word.” You teased. “Let me just change out of this and then we can leave.” You picked up your backpack
“Can I help you, princess?” He whispered and kissed the spot below your earlobe.
“As fun as that would be - maybe later.” You winked at him, kissed him quickly, and went to the restroom to change into your street clothes.
Dubz could feel his phone vibrating in his pocket, texts and calls coming through, but he ignored it. He was here with you and he wanted to keep it that way.
He found a seat as he waited. He kept his eyes on the restroom entrance, then glanced around him. Families roamed around the place, talking loudly to one another. He stood up when he saw you exit.
He noticed someone coming up to you. You stopped for a second and grinned at the person. Dubz didn’t wait much longer he strolled calmly over to you and took your backpack from your hands. “Ready, babe?” He grinned from you to the man across from you.
“Yeah.” You picked up the hint. You glanced at the man. “You could call the company and we can help you plan for the character and such.” You dug into your backpack and gave him a business card.
The man took the card and nodded. “Thank you. I appreciate it.” He tucked the card into his pocket and headed back to the party.
You exchanged a quick glance with Dubz and smirked. “He wanted to book for a party. Are you interested in being my prince?” You tugged his chin and kissed him quickly.
“Aren’t I already?” He wrapped his arm around your shoulders and kissed the top of your head as he walked with you toward the exit. “Your chariot.”
You snorted a laugh when you saw the bike and squinted over at him. “Well, alrighty then. Perfect getaway vehicle.” You took the helmet from him.
Dubz got on the bike, then watched you blissfully as you clipped on the helmet. You gave him a thumbs up and went to get on the bike. Before you did, he took your hand and kissed your knuckles. “I’m going to make a change, bubs.”
“What are you saying?”
“Just know I’m going to change some things. It’ll be good for us. I’m tired of this. I want -.” He gave you a small, worried smile. “I want to be good for you.” You touched his cheek and exhaled calmly.
“I’m with you, Dubz. Whatever it is. Pretty, ugly, whatever. I promise we’ll figure it out together.”

‼ ‼ WARNINGS: soft love, fluffy, hints of violence
Ever since you were young, you were obsessed with fairy tales and love stories. You watched in amazement as the prince and princesses ended up with a beautiful happy ending. For a long while, you believed yourself to be like “Anastasia,” the long-lost princess of a kingdom.
When you grew up, you found out these stories were just that - fairy tales. Your prince wasn’t going to climb up the tower, going to scour the lands to find the owner of the glass slipper
You actually found yourself in love with the big, bad wolf.
“Next, please.” You shuffled the envelopes in front of you as you waited for the next bank customer to approach. You set the stack aside and glanced up to see a man wearing a leather jacket and setting his biker helmet down on the counter. His lips twitched into a lopsided smile as you locked eyes with him. “How can I help you, sir?”
“I think you have just what I need.” He slid over a note to you and leaned in a little. His voice dropped a few into a whisper. “Play along. And it’ll go just as we planned.”
You didn’t look up at him as you unfolded the note. It was small enough to keep in your hand as you read it to yourself. Keep your head down. Don’t click the alarm, babe. xx - Dubz.
You counted to four before you finally glanced up at him. Then, it happened. Two masked strangers came rushing into the bank with their firearms. You sucked in a breath and dropped to the floor when Dubz gave you the signal.
Dubz was your wolf.
You helped him and his crew rob the bank where you worked. You had given him the intel when security wasn’t the tightest and when there was less foot traffic. The codes they needed for the take. All you had to do was play along, which you did.
Your co-worker looked panicked, you reached for his hand and shook your head, tapping your finger to your lips. “Let them do. It’s not worth dying over.” You spoke quietly to him and swallowed as if you were just as lost as he was.
He looked at you and nodded vigorously, remaining down behind the counter when he heard the guns go off in mid-air. It would be over soon.
You walked into the apartment you shared with Dubz. He was sitting on the couch, counting his share of the robbery. A cigarette sat lazily between his lips, you kicked off your shoes and walked over to him. You took the cig from him, taking a puff.
“Hey, baby! You did great.” He smiled proudly at you while he tugged you down onto his lap. He kissed your neck a few times, nipping at your jawline. You placed the cigarette into the ashtray.
“Hmm…I was with the police for the last few hours. Crying for the sake of the show. Yeah. It was fucking great.” You rolled your eyes. He leaned over to you and peppered your neck with sweet kisses. “This was too close, D.” You nudged him backward before you scooted off his lap to sit at the opposite end of the couch.
He let out a soft chuckle, shaking his head in disbelief. “Baby! Look! We have all this.” He gestured to the bills. “All because of you and your brilliant brain.” He turned his body and moved to hover over you, pressing his fists into the cushions on either side of you. He nuzzled against your neck, gently placing his lips against your collarbone.
“No. It’s not - don’t say that. I don’t want any credit for this.” You felt your body starting to react to his touch. The heat was beginning to run through you. But you shook your head, shaking it off quickly. You were going to stand your ground this time. You shoved him backward with your knee then got up from the couch to head to the bedroom.
The relationship was up and down, you didn’t know what you were getting yourself into. In the beginning, Dubz swept you off your feet. It was a blind date set up by a close friend. They said he was perfect and had a smile to die for.
You met him at an arcade place. You were impressed by him not trying the stereotypical romance film date ideas. He was fun, and kind; he made you feel alive. You had slipped into the routine of adulthood. You had a job, you went to work, paid your bills.
It was when you nearly lost your apartment, he stepped in and took care of it. Then, he started to bring you closer into what he did for a living. It was easy money, as long as you didn’t get caught. You were hesitant, but you were falling hard for him. He had you wrapped up in him. You didn’t want to entertain the thought of walking away. But there were times when you started wondering if this was really worth it.
“Come on, come on,” he leaped off the couch and followed you. He wrapped his arms around you and kissed your cheek a few times. “We’re good, baby. We know what we’re doing.” He unbuttoned your top, rolled it down your arms, and kissed your shoulder. He nipped teasingly at your skin as he circled his fingers around your belly button. He felt your body lean into him, he smiled against your skin and bit you a little harder happy with himself that was going to leave a mark.
“Dubz.” You exhaled. Then, you swallowed and moved forward creating space between you two. “This is dangerous shit. Maybe you should stop.”
“Why? We are living the life. We can afford this fucking nice apartment. Cars. Things. We can get shit we didn’t have before.” He pursed his lips and shrugged not really seeing the problem. He held up his arms around him gesturing to your surroundings. “I think we are doing pretty fucking spectacular, babe!” He laughed softly.
“I don’t need stuff, D. I need you! Alive.” You raised your eyebrows as you looked at him, then broke the eye contact glancing at the bed you shared. “You. Me.”
Dubz didn’t respond to you. He stood across from you, trying to take in your words. Then he walked over to you, taking you into his hands, and rubbed his thumbs across your lips. “I wouldn’t let anything happen to us. You. Me. We will take care of each other, always.”
You nodded weakly and turned to kiss his palms before you forced yourself to pull away, then walked to the bathroom. You closed the door behind you and started the bath.
You loved him. A part of you wondered what it would be like if you just fully caved and went along for the ride. You were too controlled for something like that, you had to stay alert to protect him. It was so easy to fall into the traps of easy money, you would know you’ve seen it happen in your own family. Your sister fell down the same path and it wasn’t a pretty story for you and your parents. You started to undress and stood in front of the mirror. You traced the burn scars on your belly.
Your sister’s friend - as he called himself - paid a visit to you and your mother. He took the iron your mother had been using to fix a dress and pressed it against your stomach. You remember screeching out in pain, your mother fought him off using whatever she could get her hands on. It was a warning to your sister. You had not heard from her after that happened. You figured she was on the run. You didn’t want that for Dubz.
When the water felt good, you finished undressing, stepped inside the tub, and sank down to stretch out your legs. The door opened and Dubz started to undress without saying a word. Your eyes followed his own scars splattered along his chest, then followed the line of tattoos he had scattered along his arm.
You two shared one - “Together in Paris.” You had gotten it on the side of your forearm paying tribute to your obsession with Anastasia. He realized how much it meant to you so he had gotten the same line in the exact same place.
You moved forward in the tub as he moved in behind you. He cupped some water and ran it down your back. “D, I hope-“
“Don’t. You don’t have to explain yourself to me. I get it.” He leaned in and dragged his lips gently across your back. “We’re going to be okay. I promise.” He started to trace words against your back - Love. Paris. You closed your eyes enjoying the sensation of his fingers running along your back. He may not know what to say, but he did make you feel at home.
Dubz was your home. He allowed you to break when you needed to, he held you as you cried, even when you tried to shove him away he stood there. He didn’t turn away. He encouraged you to hit something if you needed to. He wasn’t going to let you break by yourself. He knew your past, he was ready to carry it.
“You. Me.” He said as he kissed your shoulder, he loosely wrapped his arms around you and pulled you against his chest. He kissed your temple. You turned to kiss his cheek.
“How much was the take?” You asked curiously.
A satisfied smirk was beginning to grow across his lips after you asked.
