Revisiting some of my favorite moments from Catherine’s Duchess of Cambridge era ✨ On June 25, 2011, the Duchess of Cambridge attended an operational medal parade for the 1st Battalion Irish Guards at Victoria Barracks in Windsor, marking Prince William’s first engagement as Colonel-in-Chief and one of Catherine’s earliest military engagements as a royal.

Revisiting some of my favorite moments from Catherine’s Duchess of Cambridge era ✨ On June 29, 2017, the then Duchess of Cambridge, officially opened the new Exhibition Road Quarter at the Victoria and Albert Museum, the museum’s largest expansion in over a century. Welcomed by director Tristram Hunt, she toured the £49.5 million redevelopment designed by architect Amanda Levete. During the solo engagement, the Duchess explored the Sackler Courtyard, the world’s first porcelain-tiled public courtyard, and the underground Sainsbury Gallery before meeting with the donors, designers, and engineers behind the project in Blavatnik Hall. Drawing on her Art History background, she ended the visit by signing the visitors’ book and unveiling a commemorative plaque, an engagement that foreshadowed her appointment as the V&A’s Royal Patron the following year.
