update on Ducim story, the source of the undead were from a necromancer bandit warlord and they just had a camp up north pouring out undead. so now I'm trying to get Ducim to sweet talk the warlord into joining a musical troupe to get them out of the bandit leadership and coax them into living in the small outpost I'm making. I found it's possible to build up a friendly relationship with the zombies in the game so that's the second thing I'm doing next to just taking down the few that get too close to the party members. it's fascinating what a tower-less necromancy world can bring. also the necromancer's slab is placed in the hamlet said necromancer got kick out of so access to that is doable.
