Signed, Sealed, Delivered || Duck Mail
It was his last package of the day and honey, was he glad the Christmas season was over. It was great for business sure, but it was just package after package after package to be delivered and forget it if you got someone their Christmas or Hanukkah or whatever package late. The most unforgivable sin imaginable. And it wasn’t even his fault, he was literally, just the messenger.
All he knew was that his biceps, abs, ass and calves were probably looking hella fine from the amount of flying he’d had to do. It wasn’t easy. People just thought you could fly with no amount of athleticism at all, but really keeping yourself upright (especially when carying some heavy loads) was no easy feat.
Box tucked under his arm, the perfectly altered uniformed mail carrier, sped down to the last building, glancing over the address once more to make sure he got the right apartment. Daisy Canard. That name sounded familiar. He’d definitely heard it around town. Then again, he could hear just about every name around down. This town just loved to spill the tea. Bask in it. Drink it all up and then spit it out in the faces of others.
Pulling the box from under his arm he inspected it, making sure it didn’t look damaged or crumpled or anything. There were certainly a million different French postage marks on it. He wondered what had happened there, but then again it really wasn’t any of his business. He just delivered the mail.
He ran a hand through his hair, making sure it wasn’t mussed too terribly from the wind that had been blowing through it on his way over. Would be just a damn fucking shame if that was going to be his first impression. He didn’t want people knowing he was a messy bitch until at least the third impression. That way they’d already been poisoned by his charm and slowly it’d take over, making them love him despite his very, very few faults.
Rapping his knuckles on the door, Hermes sighed out, wondering if maybe the person wouldn’t be home and then he’d just leave the package there and be off to his night of wine and relaxation in front of some sort of garbage drama filled tv problem about housewives.
