tamsy’s not cruel for no reason. or, rather, he has internal reasons for his cruelty, even if they seem senseless to outside observers. so, even though i Do think he really enjoys seeing me physical pain, the worst thing he would do is isolate me psychologically.
i mentioned a bit ago that the dynamic between gachi!duck and tamsy is that of a court jester that gets along with everyone except the person who’s made it his mask to get along with everyone, and as a result of that i think tamsy would take fierce joy and pride in severing my connections to the rest of the cleaners. it’s subtle things, like offhandedly mentioning some criticism or another enjin had of me while i’m in earshot, but they build up an anxiety over time of how well liked i actually am, versus what i’m hearing people “actually” think of me. i tend to self isolate, too (<- avoidant attachment), so i think he would really enjoy invading my personal space (either by being very physically touchy, or quite literally spending time with me and not letting me have any alone time without interrupting it).
i think all of this would culminate in all the other cleaners thinking that tamsy and i are incredibly close (if not in some kind of relationship anyways), with me being unable to refute it or say anything really negative about him without them bringing up all these little things he’s done “for” me, and for me, that’s the worst kind of trap: social expectations (silly, but also serious. i think him knowing i’m aroace would be a death sentence for me because he would actively instigate situations that could be perceived as romantic that simultaneously make me Uncomfortable LMAO)
