I didn't want to make this post, but @ducktoo has driven me to extreme measures.
This man. THIS MAN. Has the audacity, the absolute BALLS, to sit there writing his little wholesome dates and hand-holding scenes while the rest of us are out here in the TRENCHES. Do you know how hard it is to write smut that doesn't sound like a medical textbook? Meanwhile Ducktoo's over there describing how someone's eyes crinkle when they smile and I want to throw my laptop out the window.
And he writes DIALOGUE. Actual cute banter that makes you giggle and kick your feet. You know what kind of dialogue I write? It's mostly moaning and-
