You guys probably won’t get the context for this because you’re not students of Hamilton College, but basically getting housing for the next year is always a disaster.
The housing lottery works like this: You pick in the order of your numbers, rising senior #1 - the last freshman (each class year goes from #1 to usually around # 540). Lower numbers tend to “pull” their friends into better housing, because higher numbers have absolutely no chance of nice housing. High numbers, especially rising sophomores, have the ultimate fear of ending up on the “summer housing list” which basically means you have no housing for the next year. At a completely residential college- this is a nightmare.
Anyway, there’s always a lot of hysteria around the lottery.
Class is totally messing with my netflix schedule/ post spring break shock
