“Stephen is very deep, the deepest of the lot of us. It took me four years to get to know Stephen and I'm pretty much there now. He carries everything around on his shoulders, never forgets a thing. When he gets down he takes it out on the people closest to him and he won't speak to them for days. But he needs a hug, needs to be loved, looked after, needs support, needs security. He's lucky to have softies in the group around him because we've always looked after him. He's a little bollix at times with a vicious side to him but it's just because he is so soft that that's his aggression. The girls picture him as a real little cutie, soft nice boy and he is, but he has got another side to him that they don't know. But everybody's human! He's a good mate.”
