ahh thank you!! i don’t really do anything special though but here are a few tips:
use hq videos. either 720p or 1080p and you can download them with keepvid
sharpen them. this will make your gifs look better n_n here’s a very detailed tutorial on how to do it
try to make your own psds. play with the selective color, brightness and curves on photoshop until you get a result that you like. you can download psds to have some ideas but psds don’t work on all gifs so that’s why i make my own.
use the right dimensions otherwise your gif will look blurry and we don’t want that. i use the new tumblr dimensions which are 540px for one gif in a row, 268px for two gifs in a row, and 177px for three gifs in a row.
just practice a lot!! i’ve been making gifs since 2011 (lmao i have no life) so yeah the more you practice, the more you learn. it’ll get easier with time i promise.
have fun! when you do what you like it’ll never be boring, sometimes you can get stressed or annoyed because the damn colouring won’t look nice but try to be patient and enjoy what you’re doing. (:
