Mini Turkey Somethin-Or-Others
In an attempt to cook healthier and more often I’m gonna try to share some recipes, experiments, and whatnot. These in particular are attack phase Dukan-friendly, though they could be easily made into burgers.
Ingredients 1 1/2 lb ground turkey 1/3 small onion 1-2 cloves of garlic 5-6 sprigs of thyme (or to taste) 1-2 tbsp fennel or celery 1 egg white Salt and dry herbs to taste
I try to make my recipes easy to adjust based on taste and how much you want to spend. For example, I had leftover fennel and thyme from another recipe, but otherwise I would have used the dried herbs I have in my cupboard, or celery (which I generally have). Go ahead and throw in whatever you want!
Steps
1. Finely dice your onion, garlic, and fennel. Since these are patties, you want these as thinly chopped as possible (unless you like the crunch of onion). Combine these in a bowl with the turkey, egg white, and spices.
2. Mold the mix into patties. Or meatballs. I made them small because I wanted them to cook faster, but you can do anything with them.
3. Grease the pan lightly with oil (I use olive) and cook them for a few minutes on each side. (For a healthier option you can probably bake them.)
4. Take them off the pan onto a paper towel to catch extra grease. Enjoy!
