Tried a bourbon whiskey I hadn’t heard of before named after John Wayne, better yet, “Duke”. It was actually pretty good and smooth drinking on its own. I had a few margaritas prior to trying it so my palate was a bit off but it was a tasty drink for sipping. From what I’ve found it’s about a $40 bottle. Little more digging, turns out Duke’s son, Ethan Wayne, is one of the founders of the spirits company and worked to make a modern spirit that reflected the spirit of his dad.
