They only accept applications from those working within the creative industries and they are geared more towards the digital desk side of work but that is not exclusive. Other facilities that Duke Studios provide are 3 different type of meeting rooms, one being The Draper Room which is great for smaller groups to meet for a one to one interview and show presentations, the next room being The Not Bored Room which is styled to look quite old fashioned and seats 8-10 people and is perfect for an off site meeting space and the last room being The Conservatory which is a large space surrounded with interesting objects and plants is ideal for groups of up 25 people who want to learn, inspire and team build together. There is an event space which is a blank canvas and very versatile for different types of events, exhibitions and shows. It has an adjoining outside area called The Yarden which altogether gives a capacity of 250 people standing or 120 people seated. More facilities available are studio spaces, laser cutting where their laser cutter has a 900mmx600mm bed size and can cut or engrave more or less anything apart from metal with prices depending on the time it will take and the amount of detail needed, vinyl cutting where their machine is 1.2m wide and you can produce anything from small stickers to full installations and prices for this are based around the size, a bar/cafe which offer a range of hot and cold drinks as well as a breakfast, lunch and snack menu.
Duke studios offer so many different things to help people excel in their artistic practices, meet new people and collaborate with other fields in this industry. As well as offering facilities to professionals they also welcome in amateurs who are just finding their feet by letting them use the laser & vinyl cutters, renting out their event space and having an open cafe where everyone is welcome. They are also helping Leeds get on the map and become a big hot spot for the creative arts by bringing a community together and allowing the local talent to work together and stay in this city instead of having to drift off to other cities such as London or Manchester to help their careers take off.
