Wew this was a fun experiment to work on and Iām glad itās done. This is another tenor dulcitar, but this time I built a body from scratch instead of using a box or something. The top and back are birch plywood, and the sides are thick cardstock veneered with maple. The neck is actually just regular poplar, but itās this really weird dark green colour that I think must have come from the tree absorbing a lot of minerals. It also seems to be higher density and that is making me question if it really is poplar. Either way itās pretty as heck. I probably wonāt be doing a tutorial on how to make something like this though because I had to use a broken old mandolin I found in the classifieds to use as a mold, and thatās a very specific thing that other people probably wonāt have. I might look into what I can do about a more accessible mold.
