Dumb Glass
Shawn was eyeing an hourglass. He sat there watching every bit of sand grain fall to the bottom. He was very focused. There was a purpose to his ordeal. Debra entered the room and saw him there.
"What are you doing," she asked.
"Timing how long it takes for all the sand to fall to the bottom of this hourglass. It's 5 minutes and not much has fallen. I have no idea how long this will take," said Shawn.
"Um....you know it's called an HOUR glass, right?"
Shawn was caught off guard by the comment. He thought and declared, "....I'm an idiot."
I so do not feel like i can deal with Spanish class today, just don't feel like spending an hour with a room full of freshmen
My horrible ethics class yesterday in a nutshell:
A "debate" asking other students wether homosexuality was against the natural rationality of the man. Of course, not judging, just being extremely homophobic, the results amazed me, 22 against 15. Yes 22 people in my classroom said homosexuality is a choice and it's something wrong and unnatural.
Comments from my teacher on how having an eating disorder was something selfish and something people choose to do but that it also goes against our own nature, but that is also a totally conscious act. He even compare Gandhis hunger strikes with anorexia and bulimia.
Comments on how the true and only nature and end of humans, specially women is to reproduce.
Do I even need to go on? Or do you get my frustration.
