some personal life tea i am dealing with!

i have had the biggest crush on one of my best friends for almost 4 years. at least it’ll be when it hits august. and i have zero clue what to do, he lives across the country. but, i know he only sees me as a friend.

i wish i could be open and honest because it pains me to hear that he wishes he has a partner while i’m right here! all i think that i can really do is wait for him to come to me.

What I want to do: “Hey I know we have been really close friends for a while. And I just want to let you know I have feelings for you. If you don’t feel the same that’s fine. I just wanted to get this off my chest and let you know so that way I can at least move past it. Because I value our friendship more than creating a romantic relationship.”

What I actually do: “Haha lol. Lmao you bitch. Oh no!! I hit you with this lightsaber. What if we dueled it out and hit each other until we dropped the lightsabers and just roughhoused and you ended up gripping my wrists and holding me down with your body weight as I kick your shins, haha jk.... unless...”

Harry

I can never figure out an exact way to describe the feelings I have for him, and will likely always have. It’s some mix of the one that got away, unrequited love, friendship that could be more, and just straight up unrealistic crush. 

He’s older than me, and where/when we got to know each other, it was an age gap that kind of meant friends and that’s it. And it wasn’t until he was across the country and in a completely different place in his life that I realized he was everything I ever wanted. 

And so now it’s just a feeling I have that will never go away. That there’s some chance. If the timing works out, if we’re in the same place, if we’re both single, if I have the courage to say something. The chance of all of these things happening at once are slim, but there’s still a chance.
