Things that happen when you’re scrambling the night before to get your car together for a show. And you’re an idiot. So I’m sitting by my car when up walks Tony from the AVBoys and his beautiful...girlfriend? Wife? Not sure there. Anyway, they proceed to say really nice things about my car. Apparently, she’s got a 10 second Maverick and she mentioned that the taillights on her car are similar to the Pinto, to which I respond that they’re exactly the same on the early cars. She points out that, no...hers curve down on the outside ends instead of up. I respond “Well, yeah so do.....holy shit!” It seems that in the last minute thrash to get the car painted and back together, I installed the tail lights upside down and swapped side to side. Y’know...like an idiot. The good news is, I kinda’ like ‘em this way and might just leave it the way it is. For those not familiar with Tony, he drives the infamous Grey Mare Mustang. Google it. That thing will blow your mind.

Always wear contacts when you get a haircut.
I wore glasses. Dumb idea. Took 'em off, told my usual barber "Same, just a little shorter." So I couldn't see a damned thing about what was going on while the cut was being done. And we had a very lively conversation, so I just wasn't really paying attention. Finally: "Take a look." I put on my glasses, and my eyes widen. I now look like a bowling pin. I can barely pinch up any hair. It's OK, it'll grow out. I have a good selection of hats and other headcoverings. But its such a shock after being nearly '80's mullet long. Always. Wear. Contacts. [Go ahead, laugh at my expense. That's the whole reason I posted this.]
And then that happens.... Fuck everything.
