Hugh wastes no time throwing his own party. His mom doesn't come. He pretends to believe it's because of Green, who's a toddler now. He absolutely does not wonder if she would have shown up if he'd been engaged to Sara instead of Cliff.

Back when they shared a room on Domestic Drive, years and years ago, Ida Juana and Hugh would attack each other with pillows for lack of other toys. Now it's a kind of tradition.
