“June. The flavor.” You are going insane here. “C’mon girl, you gotta give me something. What did the filling taste like?”
And June, bless her fucking heart, says, “Dunno- like, fruity stuff, I guess?”
This tells you nothing. This tells you less than nothing because you don’t know what would make a dumpling chewy like what she’s describing. And Senshi cheerfully says, “That sounds doable! Right, Dave?” because he hates you.

“Basilisk,” You murmur.
“That’s no basilisk I’ve ever seen.” Vriska says.
It’s true. When you finally find it in yourself to look, the snake’s head lays against the Prince’s side as its body coils in a loose circle around him. It would only take one cut of his sword and that serpent’s head would be gone. You’ve all seen the evidence of his prowess so far. Despite its size, the serpent is slow-moving. Sedate. Would it even be more trifling than flicking his wrist?
And yet the Prince will not raise his sword.
Dave of Stri’dir has been found in the dungeon.
