We've just moved to a new house of our own (Alhumdulillah). And despite the excitement of exploring a new neighborhood and the overall elation of having a home of our own, the saudade for one I left behind is somewhat similar to the grief of losing a loved one. Maybe I just get attached too easily but the fact remains that the feeling of a losing a home forever is something I've been dealing with for the past three days. Writing about it does help though. And it will get better (it always does) but the feeling of loss will always remain. It has never stopped hurting and I guess that's what moving away or moving on is all about. A bittersweet ending to a story.
