Hundred day streak!!!!
firm believer that the only way corporations such as duolingo will be seen on tumblr is if they start posting klance ship art
More language learning fan art. I've been really into Duolingo lately. I also discovered that Disney plus let's you watch a lot of their shows dubbed in outer languages. Kids shows are supposed to be great for language learning because they talk slowly and simply for kids to be able to follow. Of the shows my 4 yr old watches, Bluey is the easiest to enjoy as an adult and it has a Spanish dub!
So duo and blue have been working together to teach me Spanish ☺️
German Duolingo progress, March 23 2020
I’ve been staying at home for 12 days so far because of Covid-19. I wish I started tracking this earlier. Do any of you have language goals during quarantine? I’m just trying to keep my anxiety subdued.
I'm attending Duolingo Skye Scottish Gaelic w/ Scottish Gaelic Beginners Class on Feb. 26, 2020

hello hello again it has been 10 days since I did a fleshed-out update
so here we go:
I’m behind where I hoped to be with my German - but that’s because I didn’t expect to be so busy this summer! My health admin work/commute takes up my energy and I’ve been making plans with friends in the past week - which I love since these are people who I don’t get to see super often. But that does mean I put my German practice to the side. I lost my 75-day streak on Duolingo the other day :(
Map practice has been good and I haven’t done many more Nicos Weg lessons. All typical things.
Something new I’m doing is learning the lyrics to “Einmal um die Welt” by Cro. I don’t listen to his music much, but I like the upbeat/fun attitude the song has. I don’t get super irritated while the song is on repeat. I’ve decided to write out the lyrics and translate them with a dictionary, so I can work on my grammar translating skills.
I will also be watching Oh Boy (english: A Coffee in Berlin) tomorrow to have a nice relaxing Friday.
📚 new fav book: the handmaid’s tale (If a book was a glass of water on a warm summer night, this book would be it)

Me: Hey, the Hebrew lessons are getting easier! Maybe I'm finally learning Hebrew!
Me trying to translate an English sentence into Hebrew: Okay, maybe not.
