Happy 42nd Birthday to Durrell Babbs {Best known as R&B singer TANK}; born January 1, 1976.  

Tank's songwriting and production credits include working with Aaliyah, Beyoncé, Dave Hollister, Kelly Rowland, Marques Houston, Omarion, Jamie Foxx, Pitbull, Donell Jones and Monica.  

 He got engaged to his longtime girlfriend Zena Foster on January 16th, 2017. They've been together since 2005 and share two children, Zion and Zoey. Tank is also the father of three more children from previous relationships: Jordan, Ryen, and Durrell Jr. 

Before the singer became a R&B sex symbol he is today, he got his start singing backing vocals for Aaliyah, who was introduced to him through Ginuwine. He met Aaliyah after she dropped in during a Ginuwine rehearsal and he made the introduction. Impressed by his work, Aaliyah had Tank sing back up for her as well. “She walks in the room and I’m like, ‘Man…’,” Tank tells theGrio.com’s Gerren Keith Gaynor. “I’m fighting the tears…I’m like: ‘That’s Aaliyah right there.”
