"Dusk and I have been studying all day, how dull...I really wan to go have a bit of fun!" Thought Dolhila

Dusk sighed deeply, engrossed in his literature as usual and the rain came down hard outside, pounding against the leaded glass windows of the study. He said nothing as Dolhila put down her book and walked out of the room.

"That staunch stick in the mud! I'm going to go play by myself! but..then again I am a little lonely. I won't ask him to play though, he is always too busy" 

The little doll stood beside the pond alone as the rain kissed her porcine skin. She began to feel a little gloomy. "I'm used to being alone..but"

She didn't have time to finish her thought, as Dusk came bolting outside towards her, rain trickling off his pitch black hair. 

"Dolhila, I was wondering where you went off to. Come inside now, your getting all wet and you'll catch a cold!"

The little Doll pouted defiantly. "I don't want to come inside! I wanted to play!"

Dusk laughed affectionately. "Okay, okay but..you shouldn't have to play by yourself my little princess."

"You'd better run away or I will catch YOU! said Dolhila"

She started to chase him around the yard and Dusk ran away playfully.

"maybe this isn't so bad" she thought. Maybe Dusk really does care.
