soleil is FULL of LOVE   →   accepting   !!!!!!!

   “   hey, cutie, c’mere for a sec’   !   ”   a playful smile adorns her whole expression, twinkling in her eyes as she beckons her beloved over to where she stands.   ophelia has a flair for the dramatics   —   a trait obvious to anyone   —   and soleil fully intends to utilize her gentlewomanly charms to give her the love story she deserves.   they are knight and fair maiden, the sun and the moon, gold and silver.   their tale is one for ages, full of romance and intrigue   !   (   or something like that, in any case.   soleil’s never been much of a storyteller   —   she’s always communicated better through action.   )

   hand outstretched as the other approaches, her smile is bright as ophelia’s delicate fingers grace her calloused palm.   soleil hopes the hue warming her cheeks isn’t too noticeable, or that neither is the tremble in her knees.   but, what can she say   ?   pretty girls make her nervous, no matter how long she’s known them.

   a giggle escapes her as she draws them closer by their connected hands, murmuring a mirthful,   “   hi,   ”   as she does.   using her free hand, she gently holds the side of ophelia’s face, and her grin softens.

   “   you’re looking radiant today, y’know that   ?   ”   she asks, before leaning in to place a short but tender kiss to her lips,   “   like   —   really pretty.   ”

“a good friend ?  perhaps.  a good father ?  i’m not so sure…”  he wasn’t able to tell her of her heritage, his home was foreign to her; their traditions, their royal blood, all tucked away behind an oath of secrecy.  he still had twinges of guilt from dumping his child in some deeprealm for her childhood.  “but i still love you little one,” he smiled, tussling her hair; “you’re the best daughter anyone could ask for.”

   a flush settles high in her cheeks, as often happens as she gazes upon ophelia’s delicate form.   it’s decidedly not the armor itself that she’s admiring   —   rather, it’s the way it wears on her body, elegant in the way the mage holds her dramatic poise and just as revealing of skin as soleil has seen on many a nohrian practitioner of magic   (   which, practically, she hardly understands   —   but she doesn’t exactly find herself in a position to complain when ophelia poses like this for her.   ).

   “   wow   —   ”   she starts,   “   it sure does dazzle you   !   it suits you really well, and i   —   i really like the, uh, fit   —   you’re so beautiful   —   i mean, you always are   !   but you definitely are in this, too   !   ”
