SFF: Sam gets cursed and turned into a wolf while rescuing Fenrir. Gabriel ends up with two very large, cuddly wolves, with the added bonus of watching his mate and son bond while waiting for the curse to wear off.
OH MY GOD THIS PROMPT IS GLORIOUS AND I LOVE IT SO FUCKING MUCH DON’T EVEN GET ME STARTED WITH HOW BLOODY FUCKING GLORIOUS IT IS I’LL RANT ABOUT IT FOR HOURS AND I WOULD RATHER WRITE A THING.
When Gabriel gets the frantic (well, frantic for Castiel), phone call from his brother, he pops to his location in about half a second. He’s greeted immediately by one of his kids, and...another wolf he knew that he recognized. “Fenrir! What the hell are you doing here?”
Fenrir’s ears immediately drooped and he looked guiltily back at the other wolf.
Gabriel groaned. “You didn’t knock someone up did you? Come on Fenry, I taught you better than that.” The other wolf got to his feet and growled and Gabriel raised both of his eyebrows. The wolf wasn’t as bit as Fenrir, but it was definitely bigger than a normal wolf. “Okay, sorry bad boy, didn’t mean to offend.”
Fenrir huffed and offered a few low growls that told him what had happened and Gabriel’s eyes swung back to the other wolf, who, if Fenrir was to be believed, was Sam. Hazel eyes stared back at him and Gabriel grinned a bit. “Apparently it wasn’t as easy of a case, huh?”
Another low growl. Gabriel heard the obvious threat and smirked. “Stop trying to talk only in growls. I can actually understand you if you try to communicate the way you do with Fenry.”
Sam blinked and sat back on his haunches. He huffed and laid out, stretching against the wood floor.
“Fuck, if I thought your puppy dog eyes were bad, they’ve got nothing on you being a wolf and doing them to me.”
Sam gave a satisfied huff and curled up a little bit. At least someone could understand him other than the other wolf they tried to rescue.
“Sooooo, please tell me Dean-o isn’t running around as a squirrel. Where the hell is he?” Gabriel said, looking around, frowning when he realized he didn’t see Castiel either.
“Oh, there you are!” Gabriel said, grinning at him. “Where’s Dean?”
“Currently in his room pretending Sam is not a wolf. Can you undo the curse?” Castiel asked, looking over at Sam.
Gabriel looked from Fenrir, who was growling at Castiel, and mentioning several unflattering things about the witch they had run in with and took a deep breath and looked at Sam, properly. “Unfortunately, no.”
Gabriel stepped closer to him and knelt down next to him, holding out his hand for sniffing, even though Sam did nothing more than bump the wet tip of his nose to his palm. “Hey, just because I can’t turn you back this second doesn’t mean you’re stuck like this.”
Sam lifted his head, his ears perking up.
Gabriel grinned and reached out to comb his fingers through the rough, thick fur. “You’ve got about forty-eight hours as a wolf and the spell will wear off. You can blame the full moon for this one. It’s strongest right now.”
Another huff from Sam and Gabriel smiled. “On the bright side, you and Fenry can get nice and friendly, he says thank you for the rescue by the way, you can terrorize the hell out of Dean and shed in his car-”
Sam perked up again at that and Gabriel grinned, bright and wide.
“-and cuddle with me, and then you can be back to your glorious self in a few days.”
Sam huffed again and stood up, walking closer to Gabriel, then flopping over his feet. Gabriel stared down at him and raised his eyebrows. “You know, I did mean on like the bed. Or couch. Not in the middle of the floor.”
Gabriel sighed and snapped a chair so he could lean into it while Sam stayed at his feet. Fenrir hopped up on the chair beside him and cuddled in. “You are both so damn needy.”
Neither of them argued. Gabriel smiled. He loved them anyways. And now he had them to keep him warm.
