Modern Magic?

I've been thinking, dust and semblance is heavily connected. Dust can be used to amplify/alter the abilities of a semblance.

E.g.

Blake's Clones: She's made ice, stone and fire clones with dust of the corresponding types.

Dust has been assumed to be the remains of Humanity 1.0, like coal is dinosaur corpse. So dust has the magical qualities of the past humans

I’m not saying that semblance have anything to do with magic. But I’m not not saying it.
