This… ended up being kind of lengthy… I’m so sorry oh my god…
✬: something minor they enjoy
Duster really does enjoy being out at night to look at the stars.
It’s not at all unusual for him to head outside when it’s getting late and walk away a bit from the club to just lay down and stare up at the stars. It’s relaxing, and hardly anyone comes up the ropeway to go to the club after a certain time (generally because the club has to close for a bit sometime), and the flat plateaus they’re on aren’t terribly well lit if you aren’t directly by a building, so the sky’s really pretty to look at.
(And then he usually falls asleep outside, assuming the weather’s nice. No one really worries about where he’s gone anymore when this happens. Just, oh, he probably fell asleep outside again. He's probably going to kill his back doing that. What a dweeb.)
✭: an obscure interest
Don’t ever talk to Duster about bombs.
He can and will talk your ear off if neither of you are careful. It’s one of the few things from his thief training he truly enjoys doing and experimenting with and doesn’t have negative associations with.
(He’ll try to cut himself off if he feels like he’s talking too much, though. Which, he. He generally thinks he’s talking too much a lot, so it’s more like he’ll want to talk your ear off and is just quivering because he wants to talk about it so much but he won’t.)
(That and bombs tend to freak people out, so like…)
✰: weird thing they want to try or have tried
He absolutely helped the gang beat that really dedicated Pork Trooper by showing off his DCMC boxers. Repeatedly. No hesitation after Boney sensed that the Pork Trooper was weak to DCMC merch. None.
That’s right: shy, quiet, anxious, reserved Duster did that. It sounded reasonable to him for the whole couple of seconds it took to pull his pants down. Never mind smacking the guy with the DCMC pamphlet; Duster went straight in for the kill.
He is never going to live it down.
Ever.
✱: someone or something who or that has played a part in a fantasy or daydream
Loathe as he is to admit it, the Wess he hallucinated on Tanetane Island who seemed legitimately concerned and remorseful for screwing up his leg shows up rather frequently when his mind is idly wandering.
It’s not like he needs to be treated nicely to survive.
(Besides, the moment he realizes he’s daydreaming, he tries to ground himself anyway.)
✧: mental or emotional strength
If you were to ask Duster himself, he’d probably look down and mumble that he probably doesn’t really have anything very outstanding mentally or emotionally.
But when it comes down to it, he’s really quite tenacious, very stubborn, despite his temperament. Ever since he was a kid, he had at least one thing going for him, and that was that he refused to give up just because his tasks and expectations he had to live up to seemed to be nigh insurmountable and impossible to reach. He just wasn’t trying hard enough to do a good job of it, obviously! Besides, what was he going to do if he gave up? He couldn’t just give up and leave.
He basically lived by ‘try your hardest and truck on through, even when things get rough’.
