Boyfriend Speech.
If you have ever been to Knott’s, or a carnival, you’ve probably seen or ridden the ride Wipeout. Essentially it is a large circular wheel with two person seats attached to the outside, it lifts, spins, then tilts, and if that wasn’t enough then it spins backwards. I’ve always compared this ride to a relationship. You get into it not necessarily knowing what’s about to happen, it starts and it’s nice, exciting, and sometimes it even gets a little nauseating. It has its ups and downs, moments of awkwardness, and discomfort but if you can get past that it’s an amazing adrenaline rush. And in this amazing ride your boyfriend, fiancé, husband, etc is always there sitting next to you, When your world is falling apart, and when it’s falling perfectly back together he’s there. Holding your hand, behind you 100% always, and unconditionally. Taking care of your, and spoiling you, he makes you feel safe, and limitless. When the reality of life hits, it doesn’t matter because he is there to listen. A boyfriend will always be there, because he cares, whether it’s a popped tire, a spider in the bedroom, or simply a few words of encouragement. And when you meet that special someone they become your everything, and all the little things that you once thought mattered don’t, all the fears and insecurities fade, because you know you have found the person who can make them go away, with a gesture as simple as a smile or a touch.
The hardest thing I've done so far.
Is write this speech about Dustin. Its for Pref, but seriously? How am I supposed to put into words, even worse a small 2-3 min speech on what makes a boyfriend so special. The thing is Dustin is more than just "a" boyfriend, he's my best friend, the one who takes care of me when I'm sick, listens when I'm frustrated, watches me do borderline idiotic things and still stands by me the entire way, he's everything I could ask for in a partner, person, and lover. How am supposed to sum this up, make it sound poetic, and then present it to a group of girls. Because in all reality, it's so hard all I wanna write is:
He brings me soup when, I'm sick, chocolate when I'm not, and kisses no matter what, and when I die someone will find the body before I rot.
^because thats easier than actually writing something meaning full.
I get to spend the day with Dustin tommorow <3
And my hip hurts.
No correlation , they're just things that are on my mind.
In other news. I'm moving out this week, its a little terrifying.
Things are changing quickly, all I can do now is hold on to the things that matter, be true to myself, and let go of the past.
