𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚒𝚜,  𝚒𝚏 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚓𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚍𝚘 𝚜𝚝𝚞𝚏𝚏 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚗𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚙𝚎𝚗𝚜,  𝚠𝚑𝚊𝚝’𝚜 𝚒𝚝 𝚊𝚕𝚕 𝚖𝚎𝚊𝚗 ?     @dustremains​.     /     bonnie.     𝐀𝐂𝐂𝐄𝐏𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆.

   𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐒,  unmoving under the inky dim of night     ——–     perhaps frozen in time,  perhaps a still before a pending storm.  then forms a furrow,  a 𝚜𝚞𝚋𝚝𝚕𝚎 𝚠𝚎𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝 𝚞𝚙𝚘𝚗 𝚑𝚎𝚛 𝚋𝚛𝚘𝚠.  an expression of 𝐧𝐨𝐭-𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧,  rather,  something closer to a wince.  a keen eye would recognise the expression to be a girl faced with a question she doesn’t want to hear.  a question she rather fears the answer to     ——–     a question which hounds her in the dead hours of night.  she,  an expert at avoiding consequence,  𝐚 𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲     ;     the suggestion of some fated meaning lurking in one’s periphery earns an eerie chill up her spine.  finally,  𝚑𝚎𝚛 𝚏𝚎𝚊𝚝𝚞𝚛𝚎𝚜 𝚏𝚘𝚛𝚐𝚘 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚒𝚛 𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚕𝚕𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚜,  their uncommon quiet.  painted pink lips lilt upwards,  𝐚 𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐫𝐲𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐛𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐬.     ❝     ——–  ...  i’m hardly qualified t’ answer such a philosophical question.  maybe doin’ things for the pure enjoyment of it all ?     ❞     her tone,  like a saleswoman who doesn’t buy her own pitch.  for she knows 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥,  never does nothing happen     ——–     hence why she so fears that promise of inevitable comeuppance.  roll of her shoulders     ;     she shrugs the fretting notion away.
