Did a wee bit of restoration yesterday; picked up this gorgeous handmade yarn basket from the op shop and took it home for some proper TLC ❤ The frame itself had a beautiful varnish already, so I dusted it and laid a nice coat of beeswax polish on it, and washed the cleverly sewn cloth lining. It took me 3 or 4 goes to properly figure out how the maker intended the lining to go in, but now it's in, it makes perfect sense! 😋 The pouch sits in the frame, then the two sides wrap over the beams and into the pouch, where they tie asymmetrically at the bottom; a capacious pocket rests on one side of the lining, and a lengthy dust ruffle goes over the top! What a find!
