オランダのスリップウェア陶片２点

両方とも高台が付いており、その大きさから恐らくオートミールボウルの見込みの部分と思われます。茶色のベースにクリーム色の化粧土により素朴な鳥と花紋が描かれています。ずっと曇りがちで寒く長いオランダの冬、人々の、春告げ鳥と満開の野の花への希求がこんな紋様を生み出したのでしょうか。ふとそんなことを思いました。17世紀

Lovely Creta teacup and saucer by Dutch company Societe Ceramique Maestricht, mfg. 1863-1887. Pic 2 shows the maker's mark, which Peppercorn is inspecting.
