that wasn't an effect that ominis thought possible to have on someone, especially not miss wood. she had always been the one to provide him with warmth and comfort, so it felt strange to think that he, the cold and standoffish boy who was incredibly rude to her upon their first meeting, could now offer the same for her.

it struck the man as odd.. how quickly holly wood had come to the conclusion that she would trust tom, and how rapidly she had begun to consider him a friend. that wasn't because tom has ever lacked the ability to sway those to his side, but due to how they had first met.. he hadn't anticipated for her to be won over so easily.

yet here she was, standing before him - declaring that she puts up with all of the shit he puts her through simply because she liked him. because he was her friend.. it was astonishing how many chances he's earned himself by doing nothing at all.

an appreciative smile soon finds his features, reaching out to place his hand upon hers and giving it a squeeze. ❛ you have no idea how much your faith means to me. ❜ and he hopes it was enough of an 'apology' for her to set aside whatever reservations she may have had about tom moments ago.
