i forgot about this blog. anyway! look at this guy i caught just an hour or two before the clock hit 1st January,2024 this year. Location is Indonesia,North Sulawesi :) i have more pictures of it but i dont want to clog the ask lol. Anyway,i dubbed it Lucky Toad of 2024. and it has indeed been a lucky/good year for me so far!

Yes indeed! This is Duttaphrynus melanostictus, the black spiny toad. They are native and widespread in Asia, and invasive in Madagascar and a few other places. I agree, they're pretty cute!
