After reading Roses by @duztdevl a few times, a particular part stuck out to me: Through his wet vision, he saw his hand, limp and shaking against the linen sheets, a spark of memory he did not wish to see, so he closed his eyes once again, lest it manifest fully before him.
I wrote this fic to answer my burning question: Who is he trying to avoid remembering?
