What I do after I rip the episodes to my computer, is I add them to an external hardrive which I can plug into my DVD player via USB and watch them on my smart TV. My smart TV is capable of upscaling videos to 4K so I basically just watch all my video content like that.

I always avoid streaming TV shows/movies if I can. It’s not worth it paying that monthly or yearly fee for something you can just do for yourself with the right equipment and access to the original 4:3 DVD files. That’s the best way to watch these classic cult shows.

Can anyone help me with downloading (so I have offline access) to Hulu stuff (if possible) and ripping modern DVDs (especially Star Trek, BBC Sherlock, and Doctor Who) to the laptop. I have VLC Media Player, if that helps. Oh, and Windows 10 (but is it possible to install windows 7?). I'm open to most things, but keep in mind these DVDs belong to the library, so cannot be damaged
