“No no-- never said you were or weren’t. Just trying to lend a helpful hand in the chaos that is the norm here, though I am sure you’ve found that out on your own.” He watched as she took care of the man that she was handling. “You’ve got it handled, that’s great.. “ He said as he watched the man aimlessly wander off with a skipped step here and there. “Drink?” He asked “I was going to go get some food and something to drink but you look like you would enjoy a shot or five.”

“loud in here, isn’t it?” annalise was still getting used to having nights off. working at the school with a relatively fixed schedule in place - and no on-call nights - was a surprisingly pleasant change of pace. but it was only on weekend nights such as this one that she opted to actually go out rather than be in bed peacefully dreaming by 11:00. dance clubs weren’t typically her locale of choice, at least not since her entire life had been uprooted by the war, but she was becoming increasingly aware that she was sorely lacking in real friends outside of her sister and her pack. that night, she’d resolved to set out in search of new fun. not many patrons of the club had caught her eye - but she’d heard a few intriguing things about the distinctive beauty she spied from across the room, and weaved her way over through the tangle of dancing bodies. “you work in here every night? i’m surprised you haven’t gone deaf by now.”
