" we have spoken more words to each other to last a lifetime lord phainon, or should I refer to you as khaslana? " Lygus smiled coldly at the once deliverer, it was fascinating how things have played out. How it only took the intrusive actions of an outsider to make things move forward. The former theoros didn't bother to keep his distance.
" Tell me is there a difference between the two or do you or both have any idea where one starts and the other ends ?" His words are framed as a curious question but the mocking undertone is ever present. With a slight tilt of his head the smile turned ever so slightly to a sneer. His gaze is ever calculating ever watching the vessel of his masterpiece.
"Was it worth it ? All these 33 million cycles of killing people you were meant to protect, meant to build a life with. Or did killing the person you cherish make you forget what the point was ? Tell me can you even claim to love them with how easy you performed the action ? Can they still love you knowing that you killed them in this endless and pointless cycle ? "
The mockery in his tone turned jovial, his excitement every present as he turned to start walking around the former world bearing chrysos heir.
" speaking of which , how do you feel knowing that the outlier has to die for amphoerus future, that they have taken your place as the deliverer of this world. Does it make you happy that a true hero has come ? Does it excite you to know that the person you longed for is going through such lengths for you, for this stimulation? "
He stopped walking once he returned to the spot he was in from the beginning.
" or do you fear that they to will not be enough? "
A tilt of his head and a "friendly" smile is given.
"Mayhaps I should do us both a favor and kill off the outlier before they do any more damage. They have done well to help move things along but their presence is no longer needed.....besides with how you care little for the people you are supposed to love their death shouldn't be much of a tragedy " // @dvotdovetre
His gaze on the Intellitron stayed harsh. No longer the carefree Phainon that everyone was use to - but also someone who was no longer afraid of the truth that was given to him. Inside was he indeed boiling with rage, as destruction and hatred was all he had ever known from his code. However, he stayed calm in these moments to keep himself grounded. Never once would Phainon drop his guard so easily around someone like Lygus after he revealed his part in this hell of his life, even if he was nothing more than just a simple bystander.
His tone was sickly sweet, mocking at every last bit of him, so curious about everything however. Sure the other being stirred inside of him, but Phainon would keep him held back from making any rash decisions. They both knew that doing anything extreme would only result in things getting worse.
Slowly did he close his eyes at the question about the cycles. It indeed hurt the first few hundreds of times. From the second cycle to the 133rd he start slowly loosing his mind, doing everything he can to make sure his companions are safe and can live. Though slowly that starts loosing his weight - as by the next cycle he regresses and takes all the coreflames. By that time all notifications for him are turned off, Khaslana truly having gone insane.
❝ Every cycle … No matter what happened each time, I knew that it had to be done. Each coreflame added to my body, intensifying the burning fire inside me more, charring away at my every being - I knew it would be worth it in the end if it meant to stop all of this. ❞ His tone was a bit dull, as if it truly as Khaslana speaking along aside with Phainon. They had to keep the promise to Cyrene after all. Phainon already made the decision to throw his life away if it was for the greater good of this simulated world.
Then came the mention of the outlier - the Trailblazer that came from outside of Amphoreus. How they threw him off when he first saw them. But in that moment they met eyes during the occurrence where the executioner made an attempt to steal the Coreflame of Reason did he feel like something was off.... Never in his millions of cycles had he seen this - something new.
❝ Why would I feel that way? You act as if I have no hope in them, as if perhaps I feel inferior even. From the moment I saw them I knew they must've arrived here for a reason. Even if it was not to play any role in Amphoreus they still ended up doing so. With everything they've done, that's why I hold so much trust in them for handing over the title.❞
A pause. ❝ After all … Cyrene has told me one day there will be no need for a Deliverer.❞
Those final words did stir destruction in him, lips curling almost in a small smirk, a small breath of air broke from his lips like a chuckle. ❝ Do not doubt them. There's a reason why both Cyrene and I hold so much trust in them. You may say they're no longer needed, but we know for a fact they have the possibility to truly aide in ending our story. ❞
