(Swiss) Dwarf!Dean!
I had Tolkien dwarf!Dean last year, so I when I got the prompt dwarf!Dean again I thought I’d do something else.
According to legend, the dwarves taught the Swiss people how to make cheese and they make magic cheese out of chamois milk.
You don’t realize that he’s a dwarf but a chamois is only about 70cm high, so Dean’s about 1.40m (like a Tolkien dwarf).
Thorin is suuuuuper majestic. Maximum majesty. And now I'm picturing Castiel in Lake-Town armor, five sizes too big, and the helmet's slid down over his eyes. "There, now you're protected!" "I can't see, Dean."
Yes!
Oh? Nobody dies! Oh, yay! What happens at the end, then? Does Dean get badly wounded? Does he lose an arm or leg or something?
I don’t think that there would be a battle of five armies waiting for them, but even if it did, then Dean has a huge advantage that Thorin didn’t have: Castiel is a very good soldier. So if they were fighting against the pale Orc (Alastair?) Castiel wouldn’t be knocked out. He’d be able to go stab that creep. ;D
Dean might be badly wounded, but he survives, like everyone else. But due to having succumed to dragon sickness and having failed both his company and his love, he realizes that he doesn’t trust himself to be king under the mountain. (Which he never wanted to be in the first place). Also, he doesn’t like the idea of letting Castiel depart on his own. To know that the mountain now belongs to the dwarves again is enough for Dean. Now, he can go home. ;w; (Once he recovered of course!)
