I got a bunch of African dwarf frogs in my aquarium and I’ve taught them every time the lid opens food comes.

Which is great until I have to remove pest snails and they try hunting my fingers.

Had to move this guy to his own separate tank because he was becoming too aggressive with the other fish :'( and he tore apart my snails

We learned tonight that Sarah’s dwarf frogs make noise. She’s had frogs like these before and has complained that she heard a buzzing noise in her room when she was trying to sleep. We kept thinking it was something on her dresser vibrating for some reason - or her lamp making a noise - or that she was imagining it. We never thought of the frogs because they live under water like fish and how are you supposed to hear something that’s under water? Then she didn’t have frogs for a while and she never heard the noise again. Until recently, when we got more frogs. Tonight she heard it when she went to feed them and it dawned on me that it might be the frogs. Obviously. And sure enough it was them. You can hear them when you put your ear to the aquarium - and we googled it and got confirmation. So the many year mystery is now solved - and we all feel foolish that we didn't figure it out sooner...

This is our sister Murasaki (left) and our brother Genji (right) who live with Yuri and Aphrodite our betta brother and sister! Tonight, mommy caught Murasaki hanging around the plants and thought she’d make the prettiest picture!

Note: Yuri is the male on the right hand side. He’ll be getting a new hiding place sometime this next week (he didnt like his old one) and both fish are also getting more plants. The tank isn’t the best right now in terms of decor but it’s finally getting there!
