I do fanfiction covers as a hobbyist, and I'd like to know if you allow edit of your arts. It's non profit, and you can check my works on my profile. If not, I appreciate your time and I'd like to say that I love your art 🩷

Hi! This is now in my faq but i'll summarize the answer here because I have had a change of heart recently regarding this topic. I have allowed this in the past, however I have found these covers tend to heavily edit the original work (cropping, adjusting colour levels, etc) and are often posted to tumblr itself. Since tumblr is my only active social media, I have never permitted my art to be used for tumblr edits, and many of these fanfiction covers look to fall under a similar umbrella so upon further consideration I ask that you please not use my art for this purpose if you intend to make heavy alterations and/or post to tumblr!

I put a lot of time and effort into the composition and colour selection of my work, so seeing it changed so much doesn’t feel good. If you plan on posting to an external site and are fine with using the art as-is, or with VERY minor edits, you are welcome to do so and provide credit.

I'm aware that at the end of the day this is the internet and people will do what they want so I'm thankful you took the time to ask; I rly hope that you are able to understand my reasoning and respect my wishes :')

I wondered if you allowed the use of your arts for edition (fanfic covers specifically). I am a hobbyist fanfic cover maker, and I normally tend to ask to artists first before doing any kind of edition with their art, out of respect for their works! I also always credit the artist on my posts in order to people to go and follow the artists. It would be super if you allowed, but, if not, I respect totally <3
