nothing like trying to apply for a visa to remind you of your place in the world

I'm supposed to be in lisbon in a week, for THE STATE's project at this fall's architecture triennale. looks like that's not happening. (though i should add frustrating as it is, i'm lucky to have never been rejected/denied a visa anywhere thus far, which isn't the case for many other folk with browncountry passports, men especially)
