Asa certainly hadn’t expected to be taking out the little box of makeup he had tucked under his desk today. In fact, on the day of the Harvest festival, he’d assumed he’d be showing up, given some dingy cheap paint sets and dollar store brushes, and sat at a fold-out plastic table to paint a few kids’ faces while they ran around and ate fried dough and caramel corn. All the money went to a charity after all, and he was happy to help out. Otherwise he would’ve been walking the stalls aimlessly. But then on his morning run to the grocery store, he’d run into Dahey. Dahey, who was sometimes (often) an absolute mystery to him. Who was now apparently coming over before the festival, since he needed someone to do some makeup for him for the Rocky Horror show. Something Asa hadn’t intended on going to at first... but now, realizing Dahey was going...
He’d offered to have the other come by before the festival, and honestly, he shouldn’t have been nervous. But Dahey seemed a bit... critical, and Asa wasn’t sure if he’d like the illustrator’s makeup job. Well. He could always wipe it off and try again, right? “Alright, come sit.” Asa murmured, glancing at the other with a small smile as he gestured to the very comfy sofa in his living room. “I pulled up some photos of Frank on my phone, but if there’s something you want me to do differently, just tell me, yeah?” The Irishman pulled his rolling desk chair over, pressing the pedal to sink himself down. He was just in a nice linen shirt with the sleeves rolled up, unbuttoned over an undershirt, with some dark cords. And that was what he’d be wearing out and about today, too. But he pulled his glasses on that he normally used for his illustration work, scooting himself closer. “You ready?” He asked, unable to help a shy grin as he opened his box to look for a primer and foundation.
