It was a long weekend in Singapore but we didn’t have that here. Just a regular two-day weekend but so grateful for the husband who is always making our time here count. He calls it ‘making memories’, cause that’s what we’ll keep as the seasons change and the years pass. . We make it a point to explore new places, drive out and enjoy the beauty that is around us. We took to Port Stephens over the weekend that passed, and it was beautiful there! Golden hour is the best natural filter, isn’t it? It was also a crazy windy weekend so we had to bundle up and still feel frozen after five minutes by the water. Oh, if only the weather was better. . We had lots of the fun at the Sydney Royal Easter Show with my mum and aunts last week so when I heard there was a smaller scale Sydney Family Show that had free entry, I figured it would be great for the three of us to enjoy together. Entry is free but rides, circus, animal nursery all needed tokens so we spoiled Beth and bought quite a few vouchers💸🎡🎠Including the parking (we didn’t buy any food there), the price actually comes close to the Royal Easter Show. Beth rode on kiddy rides, even took two rides without us! She wasn’t too enthusiastic about the animals at one point but she definitely had a lot of fun. Maybe too much fun, cause now she is coughing with phlegm.🤦🏻‍♀️😷 Well, looks like we’ll be hiding at home tomorrow to recuperate from all the activity over the last few weeks. . The countdown is on til my mama and aunts get here! But first, can’t wait for dada to get back from his short work trip. We always miss him terribly. . We’ve had lotsa visitors in and out the last few weeks and they have brought extra life and joy to our place. I’m glad we have a home away from home that we can share with family and friends. Indeed, even before we know what we need, God already knows it. He is our provider, our ultimate source of everything we could possibly need. . “The LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, to guide and to shield me], I shall not want. Messy hair don’t care cause yay for the long weekend, and cheers to making memories as a family. Beth really loved seeing the blowhole, she kept wanting to go for “more water”. We were both surprised and felt so glad that Beth was so happy to be out and about today witnessing God’s marvelous creation. Today marks completion of three years living away from Singapore. We left as just the two of us, and we don’t know yet when we will return. It has been a wonderful ride and we are so thankful for the chance to experience living abroad, immersing ourselves in unique culture. . Contrary to popular mindset these days, I did not crave to live abroad. I knew it was a possibility because of the husband’s work but I was perfectly fine staying in our small, sunny island. I’m glad the Lord had other plans than I did. It’s a really funny feeling having two places as ‘home’ at the same time, but of course what ultimately makes the place home is being under the same roof as my beloveds. We do miss our extended family and friends, and I look forward to returning to Singapore someday. . God is faithful and each country we have been in has been extremely suitable for our stage of life. He has provided above and beyond what we can imagine, meeting our needs even before we know them! How apt that November brings Thanksgiving just end of this month. Beth has been well enough to welcome guests into our home today but I forgot to take any pics or vids earlier, oops! Praying for this bug to be gone completely in Jesus’ name. Beth and my first time to Korea, and let’s just say we are never returning again during summertime😥😰😅 I can’t remember the last time I sweat this much in four consecutive days, haha. Glad to have spent quality family time and enjoyed korean food. We ventured out today, exploring new grounds since it was the SIL’s last day for her Sydney holiday. Great weather, beautiful coastal walk.
