Tour de Fleece Day Twelve is for fiber processing.
Spent the morning carding/blending/rolling a merino/llama/silk mix from a cochineal dyeing experiment. Just the barest hint of baby pink in the fiber, since it was just to exhaust a used dyebath, but that had me eyeballing all the undyed but fully prepped merino from yesterday like ugh, taupe/ivory/eggshell
so I made a lateral move on that plan, unrolled all the batts and stacked them and soaked them in hot alum baths
then went a little nuts with the dyes for a yellow-green-blue mix and a red-orange-yellow mix.
as the diffusion takes over it'll all blend since it's a single bath, but should stay tonal 🤞🤞🤞
