          He's in a place that shouldn't exist.

     The arena, they send children there to kill each other. He's known about this place for a very long time, but he's never been able to come. There's a fixed point, and it's the revolution that begins in the form of one girl. The thing is -- something's gone wrong. Someone dies under the cover of his own masterpiece. The perfect camouflage of Peeta Mellark. He has to stop it -- has to keep Peeta Mellark from dying. Has to save the life of Katniss Everdeen.

                       He's too late, and it's all alright. 

          The arena is empty because Katniss Everdeen saved Peeta and herself, and history fixes itself.

                                   But now -- 

                                            --He has to find her.

     When he does, there's a Quarter Quell, and he finds himself close enough after the Victor's Tour.

It was obvious that Katniss was in distress. She wouldn't lay still and had been tossing and turning for what seemed like hours. Peeta had taken her to bed and tried to leave, but every time he did, she seemed to say something else to make him stay. However, he finally did leave and went to his own room.. only to find he couldn't sleep either. The only thing he did was think about how Katniss was feeling. Or what she was thinking. He sighed and rolled over. It lasted about an hour before he heard a creak at his door. Glancing up, there she was."Come on." He murmured into the dark, his arm outstretched to take her hand if she wanted to give it to him.     The party was rather great... not. Peeta hated it more than anything else he'd had to do that day. Escaping was the obvious route and he was taking it. On the way out, he found himself bumping right into no one other than Katniss. Peeta's hand flew to her arm to steady them both.      "Seems like you're running away. You wouldn't happen to be doing that, would you?" He laughed, but someone nearby giggled. With a confused expression, he shook his head barely at all... not understanding. His eyes were directed to the arch way... where a mistletoe was glaring back at him. Peeta looked back to Katniss and shrugged a little, implying they should follow tradition but also giving her an out if need-be. But by the attention they were slowly gaining, he wasn't sure she had any place to go. And neither did he.

"Why yes, I am as think as you drunk I am."

     Peeta couldn't help but laugh as he looked at her, nodding, "Alright Katniss." He said, amused at how out of it she was. She had never been one to drink as much as she had but when your mentor is Haymitch the odds are much higher that you'll indulge at least a couple times. He himself had only had a few drinks but, seeing her drunk was entertaining enough and motivation enough to stay coherent enough that he could look after her. 

     "Come on, let's get you to bed." He told her, withholding another chuckle as he pulled her up from her chair, gently taking the bottle from her hand.
