Hey friends ~ I'm going to be photographing and interviewing Dylan Voller today by request of Vice and am trying to raise some funds to pay him for his time. For those who don't know - he's the young aboriginal man who made headlines after a four corners expose showed his horrific treatment at the hands of a Northern Territory correctional facility. He's now been freed and has been visiting different cities in Australia, attending protests and is endeavouring to become a sort of community leader (!!!) and is planning to participate in local elections, which is really heartening. Here's a few links for context: http://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/real-life/news-life/dylan-voller-im-not-proud-of-the-things-i-did/news-story/109eabe10ded7e19c7e007dc8915de6c https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/amp.smh.com.au/entertainment/tv-and-radio/news-and-current-affairs/dylan-voller-told-60-minutes-he-felt-he-was-going-mad-in-nt-youth-detention-20170611-gwp25g.html Being an interviewee esp. if you're not an artist can feel like an unequal exchange and often requires a great deal of time, energy and labour, and means giving up time which could instead be devoted to work. It's really important that as settlers we put our money where our mouth is when it comes to these issues and actually support individuals and communities in material ways. Anyway please signal boost this and donate to the Paypal link I've set up so I can pass on some funds: https://www.paypal.me/joonyrevanche/20
