Yaoki Rover (2025) by Dymon, Japan. The mission objectives of the Yaoki rover are to capture images of the lunar surface while maneuvering within a 50-meter radius of the lander. The rover can be dropped to the surface in any orientation, which may well come in handy as the Athena lander it arrived with failed to land vertically as it touched down in the south polar region of the Moon on March 6, 2025. The name 'Yaoki' comes from the Japanese proverb “Nanakorobi Yaoki”, which means “to get back up again and again, no matter how many times you fail”. Let's hope it lives up to its name.
