Run away (excerpt from a dream)
I am running in the middle of the night as I am trying to escape my pursuers. These human monsters that tried to rape me. Suddenly I trip over something and fall down in the middle of tall dense dark green vegetation. I can only see their yellow naked legs slowly coming closer and closer. Helicopters are the only source of light that can lead them up to me but they also show me where to strike. One of them comes near me and I immediately grab the knife that I took with me before I managed to get out of the place I cannot even remember. I close my eyes. It only takes a second to slice its Achilles tendon and I can see the blood for a brief moment before I get up and continue running. I have managed to kill or injure all of them. Now, I am the killer being pursued by the police. It is not them anymore. I want to see my mom and hear her voice. The field turns into a forest and into a jungle. Night changes into day. I am fleeing as fast as I can before I step on the first snake. An Anaconda. I am scared to death but I continue running. Suddenly, I notice more yellow, brown and green Anaconda snakes but to my surprise they do not hurt me. On the contrary, they help me run faster as my own speed combines with theirs.
The next thing I can see are the mountains covered in snow. The sun seems to be setting down but I cannot be sure as I do not remember how I got here and when I got here. The sky looks beautiful. It is mostly bright pink, yellow and orange with some blue leftovers. I feel at home but I know I have to move on before the police gets to me. I pick up a cellphone from my pocket. Again, I do not know how it got to me but it is there anway. I call my mom. We quickly say goodbye. She is crying and I am crying. There is not much time left before they can trace my calls to this place. Next number belongs to my boyfriend but he is out of reach. I give up amd step on the cellphone in a frantic attempt to destroy it. My efforts are successful. I put the ski goggles on and take a deep breath. In another life, this place could be my home or at least a great honeymoon resort.
In this life, I ski down the mountain as another evening approaches and the air gets colder. I will spend the night and maybe the rest of my life alone but I will never give up on proving my innocence.
