Dyssidia “The Gutted Stag” from [Costly Signals] 2020 2010年に結成されたオーストラリアのプログメタルバンドDyssidiaのデビュー作から．過去に3枚のEPを出しているもののフルレンスは本作が初． Vo : Mitch Brackman Gt : Corey Davis Key : Dimitri Ioannou Ba : Neil Palmer Ds : Liam Weedall

Dyssidia [Costly Signals] 2020 (Spotify) OpethっぽいプログレッシブデスとObscuraなどに通じるテクデスがミックスしたような感じ．ビンテージっぽい雰囲気とモダンな雰囲気が整然とミックスされた轟音．ユニゾンでバッチリはまる演奏陣もお見事やけど，クリーンとグロウルをハイブリッドで歌い分けるボーカルも素晴らしい．あとはピアノの使い方がBTBAMを彷彿とさせるのか，Opethと違ってモダンに感じるところかも． アートワークはAdam Burke/Lachlan Odell.
