File: Corpse Bride (2005)
SCP #: SCP-TCB
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-TCB is to be contained in a standard human containment cell. Under no circumstances must SCP-TCB must ever interact with staff that have been “unfaithful” to their significant other. In order to decrease violent nature, she will be going to therapy for an hour every three days of the week.
Description: SCP-TCB is a re-animated corpse dressed in a wedding dress. SCP-TCB is identified of a wealthy woman named Emily ███ , who was killed in the 1800’s. After her death, her long wavy hair (which was presumably dark colored) and her once pale skin turned blue. There is a hole in her left cheek that shows that her skin is deteriorating and reveals her white teeth. Under her left arm is some exposed muscle, although her actual left arm is only bone. Her right ribs are showing due to the hole in her wedding dress. Her right leg is almost completely bone except for the skin that still covers her foot and her ankle, resembling a baggy sock. The tip of her nose is somewhat skeletal.
Discovery: SCP-TCB was discovered in London, UK when an unusual string of murders took place where men and women having their heart ripped out. One of the victim's wife who was an eyewitness to the murder claimed it was a “blue ghost” that had broken into their home in the middle of the night and murdered her husband by ripping his heart to then eat it. This incident was flagged by MTF Iota-10 ("Damn Feds") and the eye witness was given Class G amnestics with leave the police a false eyewitness story. After two days of searching, the agents were able to track down SCP-TCB to an abandoned mansion where SCP-TCB was hiding.
The team was sent in to capture SCP-TCB to which the subject attempted to fight back causing injuries to the team. The MTF attempted to sedate the subject, however it seemed to have no effect, causing the MTF to use lethal rounds. They managed to apprehend the subject by shooting the subject's limbs. Despite the removal of limbs, the limbs still re-animated and attempted to place themselves back together causing the agents to carry one limb each in order to separate each limb. SCP-TCB was taken to a nearest site to be held in custody.
Interview Log:
Interviewer:Dr. Laurie Krystal
Interviewed: SCP-TCB
[BEGIN LOG]
Krystal: Hello, SCP-TCB, I am Dr. Krystal and I am here today to talk to you.
SCP-TCB: Let me go! I want out of this cell!
Krystal: I’m sorry, but we can’t do that. You see we kinda have a rule here, its called “Don’t let flesh eating zombies walk around this site alive”
SCP-TCB: I don’t belong here! I didn’t do anything wrong.
Krystal: “Didn’t do anything wrong”? I’m sure those innocent people with missing hearts sure like to disagree. If they were alive, I mean.
SCP-TCB: They weren’t innocent! They got what they deserved.
Krystal: What do you mean by that? Did they did anything to you?
SCP-TCB: No! It's what they did to their own loved ones. They are all the same!
Krystal: What did they do?
SCP-TCB: Isn’t obvious they all were unfaithful to their marriage partner. They all didn’t love them truly. They were just like them.. those men with BLACK HEARTS!
(SCP-TCB attempts to smash the glass between. Dr. Krystal immediately leaved the interrogation room.)
[END LOG]
Notes: Upon further investigation, the undercover agents within the police discovered that all the victims were cheating on their significant other. How SCP-TCB discovered this is currently unknown.
Interview Log #2:
Interviewer: Dr. Laurie Krystal
Interviewed: SCP-TCB
[BEGIN LOG]
Krystal: Okay calm down. Theres no reason to be angry. Just take a deep bre… actually no, nevermind. Let's just start again. My name is Doctor Laurie Krystal and you are?
SCP-TCB: My name is Emily ████.
Krystal: Hello Emily. You must understand why you are here in that cell.
SCP-TCB: I guess.
Krystal: Now tell me what happened to you. How did you become like this?
SCP-TCB: When I was killed.
Krystal: Who killed you?
(SCP-TCB face switches from a face of anger to somber.)
SCP-TCB: It all started hundreds of years ago when I was alive. I was born in a wealthy family with my father. My Mother was long gone. Died giving birth to me.
SCP-TCB: I grew up in a small village known as [REDACTED]. It was a peaceful village. It may have been boring, but it was so quiet. I miss that compared to now.
Krystal: Wait do you mean the abandoned mansion where you were just staying at, was that your family’s?
SCP-TCB: Yes, it was my home. But not anymore.
Krystal: What happened?
SCP-TCB: As I said before I grew up, but my father used to tell me stories of how he meet my mother. How they fell in love. How he didn’t care that she was poor and she didn’t care that he was rich they genuinely loved each other. As I grew older, I wanted that. That same
Krystal: Who did you meet?
SCP-TCB: I meet Barkis. A so-called lord in the village. I meet during a party. There I was in love. From there we went on walks, started I believed I was in love.
SCP-TCB: My father however didn’t like Barkis. He claimed that Barkis was a liar. That he didn’t share the same feelings as I did. We argued with each other,
Krystal:
SCP-TCB: I never was too bright.
Krystal: What did you do?
SCP-TCB: I planned that we would both marry without my father's blessings. I grabbed as much fortune as I could carry. I even wore my mother’s wedding gown. (SCP-TCB then proclaimed herself.) This wedding gown was beautiful back then, believe me.
Krystal: … I believe it.
SCP-TCB: So I went to forest, I went to the spot where we planned to meet up. I waited for hours in the night waiting for him. Then I heard a twig snapped behind me, I was so excited. I believed that he came for me. And as I turned around I saw Barkis … and he holding a knife.
SCP-TCB: I was confused. Then my confusion ended as he plunged the knife into my stomach. I fell to the ground and as I lay there several thoughts ran through my head. Why would he do that? Why is he doing this? What is going on? Am I really going to die?
SCP-TCB: I didn’t want to believe what was happening. That this was all a dream. My thoughts cleared when I saw holding my bag of riches. All he could do was give me a mad grin as what he saw how much fortune was in that bag. He then walked off into the forest as I could only cry. Cry out to my father. Anyone to save me.
SCP-TCB: And no one did.
Krystal: I’m sorry.
SCP-TCB: Its fine. It was a long time ago. Besides, what happened next surprised me.
Krystal: What do you mean?
SCP-TCB: It's fine. I know it sounds silly. But I was never one to believe in heaven or hell, however I found myself in a strange place known as “The Land of the Dead.” The citizens there were all undead with their skin blue like mine. At first I was afraid scared at why I was here. Only to look down at myself and see my skin also blue. I grabbed a nearby mirror and saw my reflection. I saw my skin blue and what's left of my skin rotting and decomposing. And worst of all, my mothers wedding dress was in ruin.
Krystal: Please tell me more about the citizens, were they like you?
SCP-TCB: There were Citizens just like me some who had passed away found themselves stuck there. The citizens couldn’t die, however some of the older one had their skin decomposed to the point where they are just walking skeletons. It's ridiculous, believe me.
Krystal: No, I believe you. Please go on. Continue your story.
SCP-TCB:
Krystal: Change the script
SCP-TCB: No. I wasn’t but I didn’t care.
I believed that this was a mistake. That I shouldn’t be alive. I wanted to crawl back to the dirt and stay there until death claimed me.
Krystal: What changed?
SCP-TCB: No I didn’t. I never did. However I felt angry, angry at my disgusting display. So in my anger, I went after him. I crawled out of the dirt and I ran with incredible speed for a dead person. It took a while and I found him. All by himself, with no guilt. And I saw talking to more women. More likely his next victims.
Krystal: What did you do?
SCP-TCB: I followed him. I watched his every action. I waited until night, when I could make my move. When the sun was down, he was all alone. I made my move. He didn’t even see it coming, too late to make a scream as I attacked him. He died all alone, scared and powerless just like how I died.
SCP-TCB: I stood over his dead corpse, and ripped out his heart. It was so warm and soft to hold in my hands. I devoured it instantly to feel its warm liquid.
Krystal: Why did you eat his heart?
SCP-TCB: … I don’t know… I thought maybe eating it could make me feel alive.
Krystal: Did it?
SCP-TCB: .. no.
Krystal: So what happened after that? After you killed him?
SCP-TCB: I went back to the Land of the Dead. I believed he might have woken there. He didn’t much to my disappointment. But the citizens.. they all knew what happened. It was forbidden for the dead to do anything to the living.
Krystal: Did they cast you out?
SCP-TCB: No. They excused it. They believed it was justice served. They also thought it would be a one time thing. Too bad it wasn’t
Krystal: What do you mean? Who else did you kill?
SCP-TCB: Several years later, a man named Victor came to where my body had rested. I didn’t know who he was but … said his wedding vowels so perfectly. I woke up there and realized he had proposed to me.
Krystal: I’m sorry what? What do you mean he said his wedding vowels? Did he even know your body was there?
SCP-TCB: Heh, I guess not. It didn’t even matter because I was engaged once again. I believed he would be different.
Krystal: I’m guessing it wasn’t really?
SCP-TCB: No, turns out he didn’t share the same feelings.
SCP-TCB: He “tricked” me is what happened. He never shared the same feelings as me. He had feelings for that “other women”
Krystal: What do you mean?
SCP-TCB: He told me that we would get married. That he would drink the poison from the wine. So that we could be together.
Krystal: What?! Why would he do that?
SCP-TCB: It would be the only way he could ever be with me. But he ran off, with her leaving me all alone at the altar.
Krystal: Damn, second worst wedding am I right?
(SCP-TCB stares at Dr. Krystal angrily)
Krystal: Sorry, I didn’t ..
SCP-TCB: Its fine!
(SCP-TCB lets out a huge breathe)
SCP-TCB: After Victor left me on the Altar, I was upset. I cried to myself everyday because of the pain he caused me . All he did was swayed me and lied to me to bring him home.
SCP-TCB: Then my grief turned into anger and I decided that he doesn’t get away with leading me astray.
SCP-TCB: So filled with anger, I broke into his mansion in the middle of the night, Victor then fell to his knees, begging me not hurt his wife. So I honored his request and by eating his heart. Up on the stairs, I saw his wife who was terrified and with tears in her eyes witnessing the death of her husband.. All I could do was give her a smile with her husband's blood all over me.
Krystal: Damn, was that really necessary?
SCP-TCB: Oh yes, it may have been a long time ago. But I’m sure she was scared of ever seeing me again till her last breath.
Krystal: I’m assuming you tried to go back home, correct?
SCP-TCB: I did. But I was forbidden. The citizens believed I broken their rules and I was never allowed to go back to the “Land of the Dead”.
Krystal: So where did you go?
SCP-TCB: I went to my fathers abbadon mansion. He had passed away weeks after my “disappearance”, died of a broken heart. I stayed in that mansion for a long time, sleeping as the world went by.
Krystal: Then you woke up.
SCP-TCB: Thats right. I stayed for hundreds of years cause I could not move on.
Krystal: A fitting punishment, I say so myself
SCP-TCB: Fitting? It wasn’t fitting. It was hell, I didn’t deserve to rot up here.
Krystal: Well sorry but not sorry, but it was deserving after you killed an innocent man.
SCP-TCB: Innocent? Victor wasn't innocent. He was a liar.
Krystal: Yeah, I will admit lying to marry you was a mistake on his behalf, however if I ever get kidnapped by some zombie trying to marry me, I would do anything to survive, especially lie to marry it. And thats what he did. He lied to get back home
SCP-TCB: If he did wanted to go home, why wouldn’t he tell me the truth. Why would he lie to marry me?
Krystal: Even if he did, would you let him go?
SCP-TCB: ….I…I … I don’t know.
